'Because I wanted to be with Keith'. Mick's support for his longtime partner really moves me here. No matter the bad times they have been through (as is logical in a friendship of so many years), but in the end Mick will always be for Keith in the same way that Keith will always be for Mick. They are The Glimmer Twins, I love them.

"I wanted to be with Keith." Something from the way they acted towards each other in the 70's tells me it wasn't Micks fault when they fell out. I mean Keith used to call him "Brenda" and "her majesty" along with Brian Jones in the 60's and just Keith always seemed to think Mick thought he was better then him... When clearly he isn't and most likely didn't think he was either.
@puplover79918 жыл бұрын
I've said this 1000 times. They've fought like cats and dogs, but they love each other. I'm talking soul mates. I wholeheartedly agree w/ you and so do others: I love Keith but he was very unfair to Mick in his book. Mick is the glue, the one who has always taken care of things and the reason they are still playing to sold out crowds 53 years on.
@gabrielabarros20364 жыл бұрын
Im so glad for your comment, like mostly of the People keep saying that the their's fights were all mick's fault. I mean He honestly Love keef so badly, even take care of him when He was high on drugs, being jeaulous and protective towards Keith, taking care of Marlon, trying his best to make Keith happy and continue The band even with his money problems. I mean like He is so good, and just because He wants to go solo and do something for his own in music for once Keith ends their friendship and write a book with so many rude comments. I mean He should be an adult, realize that mick has feelings too, and try his besf to solve their problems like mick did many times.
@jbmyerov4 жыл бұрын
Agree. So much negativity was directed at Mick for wanting to do a solo record and tour, but it really was a natural impulse on his part and most of us - yes, me too - overreacted

George Young Cynic! Mick was Keith's 'best man' at his wedding in the 80's. I once read Jerry Hall's account of Mick helping Keith through 'cold turkey' at their house . Something other than $$$ has kept them together. Amazing really!

Mick came along because everybody knew the charges were bogus, way too serious considering everyone knows Keith isn't a drug dealer and Keith is obviously not articulate enough to defend himself. He might've just given up, you can tell he's just an overgrown boy from the video. He never had to do anything for himself in his whole life. Mick no doubt wanted to talk with the lawyers about how to handle the case. After all, he's smarter than all of them put together. Keith knew that.

I dunno. No major artist, especially the Stones can produce top shelf material at a breakneck pace after 20 years. You get a few winners every now and then, but you gotta wade through some uninspired records to find them. It's like your body. Even if you stay in great shape, after you hit 40, you feel the aches and pains and you have to slow down a bit to adjust. But I think this 50 yr mark should be the end. They really should have stopped at the 30 yr mark actually.
@glengamble5263 жыл бұрын
I don’t agree at all. I’ve found that every newer Stones album usually has at least one strong single on it and that allows them to tour and bring their still-great live show out, and remain somewhat valid.
@BayviewFinch11 жыл бұрын
How has all of that money helped them though? What good music have they made in the past 20 or 30 years? I can think of maybe one song in the past 30 years that's worth listening to. If they were making enough money to live comfortably, and no more, they'd probably be making much better music.
@gardensofthegods6 жыл бұрын
BayviewFinch I wouldn't go to see them and pay that kind of money unless somebody paid my way but to be honest with you I don't think they sound good in concert ...I like bands that sound like their Studio albums when they are playing live... and it seems to me they're just rushing through the songs to get them over with and not giving it their best because they don't have to because they are surrounded by a fair amount of psychofants .
