Keith at the peak of his powers, with his classic five string tele just carving a groove so beautifully. To watch this is fantastic because the live album came from this show and it is one of the best live albums ever. Keith does something no other English rock guitarist does, he sets up a groove that is so undeniable and impossible to not want to dance to. He learned one important thing which is the music has to have a pulse, has to have a fundamental rhythm you can’t resist. Great footage here.

This show was so cool because of the effortless switching up of instruments by the players. Charlie Drayton and Steve Jordan are so confident on ANYTHING they play, and Ivan Neville adds some very tasty palm-muted bass lines in "(I Could Have) Stood You Up" in addition to his keyboard work. Bobby Keys...What can you say about Bobby? Magnificent sax work as usual. Waddy Wachtel is the perfect rhythm guitar player for Keith, just about as good at "The Art of Weaving" as Ronnie Wood. It's a crime that this portion ran out before the last few notes, as this band was pushing it hard and heavy right up to the end. The cd that came with the VHS pack of this show has a better audio and you can really tell how loud and powerful the guys were on this tune. Fantastic!

A little late now, but imagine if Waddy had replaced Mick Taylor instead of Ronnie.
