What kind of scumbag would put him down for his depression
@Dercudez2 жыл бұрын
Why would he?
@Azanianquest10252 жыл бұрын
He should've not used it as an excuse for losing to Spence! No one denies that he may have been depressed, but when you've developed a habit of putting up excuses for your loses, it kinda gets tiring! What would happen if some of his own opponents who l9st close decisions like he did with Thurman and Porter did the same thing, how would hw take it then! Danny and his dad initially pointed out Spence's jab as if other punches did not win him the fight! When the likes of Garcia and Teo make all sorts of excuses for the L's i their resume it defeats the whole purpose of boxing being a W, D or L sport! What this does of course is scoffing at Spence's achievement, a W against a boxer of Dany's calibre is huge even though he wasn't a champ and had been inactive for some time. They (Danny and Angel) also forget that Spence himself came off physically taxing and emotionally and mentally traumatic car accident! Now to go through all that and dominate your esteemed opponent in that fashion to have him reducing it to that is energy consuming! So when you sympathise with him, think about what this opportunistic excuse does to his work!

@@Azanianquest1025 relax, depression has nothing to do with how or why he lost to Spence. Has to do with chemical imbalances in the brain.

I remember my battles with severe anxiety and panic attacks in my early 20s. I thought I was invincible with my non-stop partying and it suddenly hit me like a truck. A sudden sense of fear and sadness, everyday felt like I had a dark cloud over my head. I had a negative outlook on life. Add to that the physical symptoms such as a racing heartbeat, lightheaded ness, headaches etc.I got so desperate and anxious one day that I went outside and just started jogging. I ran so long that I broke a sweat and next thing you know I had some relief. I was prescribed Zoloft, Xanax and different types of drugs that I hated but none gave me a relief like a jog outside. 10 years later and now I have a couple of marathons under my belt. Aiming for a triathlon in 2023. To anybody struggling, there’s a light at the end of tunnel, hang in there and stay active.

Some phenomenal points all the way through. Breaking down the built up to the fight. Each day has a different stage that you have to adapt to. Then fight night the electricity, Adrenalin all of that. Then getting into the ring for a title fight. Boom!!! Win, lose or draw you’re probably getting beat up more than any human. The drop after that must be numbing. I appreciate every athlete that can do something I cannot. Thanks you all for the spectacular memories regardless win a loss or that damn draw 💚🍀🇮🇪

I'm impressed with a lot of what Keith Thurman said here. And much respect to Danny Garcia for sharing his struggles on camera, but it's disappointing to know he did not get professional help. The reasons for depression are not the same for all people, so Thurman should not think that what works for him will work for everyone else. Taking blows to the head in boxing can cause cycles of depression and anxiety, and depression tends to run in families, just like other health issues so it could stem from that too.
