Wanted to know everything about him went to Sandy Hook KY to see where he grew up met his mom she was like talking to my favorite friend so sweet and down to earth!!! God how it hurt to lose this guy!!! Just love this guy the that there ever was!!!!!

Mary Lou Reed I too remember where I was when I heard of Keith’s death. I was in California.. it was in the late afternoon. I had just come out of a Burger King and turned on the radio in my car. I heard the DJ’s announcement. I felt a cross between being numb and sad.. shocked! Then I heard the words I’ll never forget..”died of alcohol poising!” I was crushed because this was something that could have been prevented. It wasn’t a plane or car crash. It still brings tears to my eyes that such a very talented Man who had just hit the height of his career could be gone so soon😢

huge merle fan but keith's vocals had everone beat hands down. can't think of any other singer, man or woman, in any genre who could go from a baritone to a falsetto on the same note the way keith could. gotta remember this was a fairly unpolished version with jd crowe, almost like a demo cut.
