wow! I remember seeing this when it was on TV in the little rural place I grew up in on PBS in Colorado. This wasn't long before he died. I was 16 or so and an aspiring guitar player. Somehow I got off the ranch and made a living as a guitar player for most of my life. I promise anytime I play "Dont Close Your Eyes" nowadays its still a hit

If you feel alcohol controls you and you can't stop drinking once you start, please seek help to overcome the addiction. It might be hard, but it's worth it living sober.

Well i think in KW case, he was well beyond average drunk. He was uncomfortable with his success, and at same time fearful of failure. Most musicians know what i mean. It is a hit and miss lifeatyle and occupation. No benifits, no sick days, or holiday pay, it is trully a struggle.
@kellymeade4587Ай бұрын
My very good friend knows the bus driver… Lori Repeatedly ran around on Keith, breaking his heart… she basically put the bottle to his head, and pulled the trigger! She acts all innocent and blames the bottle, but she’s the one that caused it to happen. She broke-up many other marriages along the way, after destroying Keith’s soul. I normally don’t post on something like this, but it’s made me sick over the years… just knowing the reason behind his alcohol addiction. I have no reason to make up any stories. It’s from a source that knows everything.

Kept Ralph Stanley rolling and not enough is stated both Keith and Crter both had an enemy in alcohol! The were constantly playing in bars and festivals where alcohol was the drink of choice! Preferred by all the sponsors! C'mon folks! He was a teenager and the lead singer in the backwoods, the mountains, and nobody was concerned because everyone was doing it!. And He was making beautiful music and Who is telling the STAR NO? SAD! BUT TRUE! HE IS NO DOUBT SINGING IN THAT ANGEL BAND WHEN JESUS WANTS TO HEAR IT BLUE GRASS STYLE , AND WHAT US DOWN ON EARTH CALL THUNDER, THAT'S THE ANGELS STOMP'N AND CLAPPING FOR ANOTHER PRAISE OUT OF KEITH! JUST THANKFUL I GOT TO HEAR SOME AND WHAT A BLESSING VIDEO IS TO SHOW EVERYONE HOW EVEN A MAN WITH STRUGGLES CAN LIGHT IT UP LONG AFTER HIS LAST BREATH! THE MONEY GRABBERS DON'T CARE, AS THEY JUST BUILD ANOTHER STAR AND RUN EM INTO THE GROUND ! BUT WE ALL KNOW WHEN GOD TOUCHES A VOICE AND THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE! AWESOME THEN, AWESOME FOREVER! THANK YOU LORD FOR BLESSING OUR EARS AND OUR HEARTS ! TECHNOLOGY IS A BEAUTIFUL THING AT TIMES! THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES!
