The universe before the bo diddley beat and after the bo diddley beat was two very different places.

Just how I wish a real teacher to be. Absolutely well versed in all facets of his subject. Technically and historically both. Add to that an apparently natural gift for a superb communication, your videos are themselves an artwork! They are narratives in the truest sense of the term, that imbue their subject with life!

The only guitar instruction to get Bo’s rhythm exactly correct! Finally!

The famous "I'm A Man" lick was written by Matt "Guitar" Murphy. Matt is the black guitarist in The Blues Brothers. He had that great scene in the movie playing Aretha Franklin's husband.

Thank you, Keith: You not only showed me the licks, but gave me great insight into Bo Diddley's sound!

Excellent Lesson on Mr. Diddley and I'll be checking out more of your lessons. Thank you!

I think sometimes we get so caught up in theory of melody/harmony and scales/progressions etc., that we need a refresher on the simple rythmic facets of the instrument....nice lesson KW

Isnt it funny how we like to give les paul alot of credit for recording techniques and rightly so, but bo didley was another pioneer that took electric guitar tone to another level
@GeneralTarik8 жыл бұрын
Great stuff! Ike Turner's (Jackie Breston's) "Rocket 88" is actually based on an older Jump Blues called "Cadillac Boogie" by Jimmy Liggins. Same rhythm except the horns play it instead of guitar.

Great lesson, I'm a huge Bo Diddley fan. However, getting the guitar down is only half the challenge. The other half is to sing and play at the same time, and do it like Bo. That's hard!

looks like your the real "berk" here, that aint a reissue, its the real deal, you can tell from the finish on the close ups, also the reissue that came out in the 90s had gold p90s not the cream ones and also if you listen he says its old,
