@billdlv Hey Bill, I was using a slightly used 60 AMP. tip, Running at 60 IPM. The edge was pretty good but may have been a little more square at 45 to 50 IPM, more so on the smaller circles, I was turning these in a friction drive set up so it was good enough for how many I needed to crank out!

@Steffan97140 I'm using Thermal Dynamics and the torch size is a SL60, giving me a range between 20 to 60 AMPS...

@TorqueRider2000 I was doing fine, bill was the one using up the consumables at a greater rate than he thought he should be. I was just ignorant of greater consumtion at closer tolerences. I like when I learn something new!

@billdlv I've been pretty happy with tip life, you got air dryer hooked up, on yours? I was piercing at .170" and cutting at .130". My thoughts on closing down the gap is because the contact tip, adds a certain distance, between the orfice tip and part when scensing height. From all my manual exp. tells me you get sharper crisp cut closer...

The view from under the plate? Pure genius. I'm trying to figure out how to use the plate with holes as a grill for my car. Thank you.

@kef791 yeah we have a good refrigeration dryer on our air. I think it has to do with my inexperience with getting the cut settings. We're making a lot of test runs and pierces.

Put some long thread-stock/nuts/ and washers through the left over plates and make a stock shelf out of them.

Hope you saved those cutouts to use as air intake grills for the next air compressors.

The plasma cnc seems to be running smoothly and your downdraft / water table are working great. What cut parameters are you running on the 1/4 AL? Ours is working again and I'm working on dialing it in. Thnx Keith
