Cuz "morals" is all they got! Women are all over the internet blaming themselves for things. They opt out of dating for a while to work on themselves, go to therapy, take personal inventory, do shadow work so they can "make better decisions". We will scrutinize ourselves from our head to our toes to figure out what we did wrong. Meanwhile what are these men doing? Listening to Red pill podcasts, highlighting every passage in the Bible that says women need to shut up and do what men say, going on social media & looking for other men (and women) just like them to reaffirm their shitty behavior so that these men never have to be alone with themselves and introspect on any of their behavior. And then they'll have the nerve to hate women who don't want to date them or just date at all because they keep running into these dudes! They're ain't no winning here.

Because we are raised to think being chosen is the only way for us to be made whole. I'm 41, single, childless and not interested in changing that, but I literally feel like I'm coming out the closet everytime I'm around women of various ages because I have to defend my "inability" to be made whole by being chosen to be a partner or vessel for a man's "legacy". It is honestly exhausting and I've decided to not bother because at all times, I have to confirm that I'm not sitting in depression because of a lack of man. (Edit) And they are violent because they can be. That's where the whole spanking thing comes into play. If u are raised believing someone who loves u can hit u, u won't see what is deemed minimal violence as a dealbreaker

Women don’t have to endure this. The public saw a lot of red flags just from his Twitter account alone. Keke and Halle Bailey chose these men. These girls are attractive and successful and should have no problem finding a good man. Keke could have left whenever she felt like it. She just had to learn.
@MsZandiX Жыл бұрын
@@jamesbaxter222 This is the problem... this presupposition that there are all these good men available. There aren't. Good guys who aren't buying into patriarchy, especially those of color and BM, are very very few. And even the ones who start out great can get problematic the moment the reality of being in an equal relationship mean they have to actually step up. bell hooks talks about this in The Will to Change, referring to how even feminist men tend to struggle fully rejecting patriarchy in practice

@@MsZandiX This gave me goose bumps and I wholeheartedly agree. Over the last ten years on social media, I've seen more and more examples of how unsafe particularly working class/'urban' spaces are for Black women. We see the overwhelming support for degenerate men like R Kelly, we see all the misogynoir and how it's cool to mistreat and talk down on Black women. I literally remember watching a Black British KZbin show called BKchat years ago where in a room full of Black people a Blk man stood up and threatened to physically attack a Blk woman while the other men in the room were mute and nearly everyone went to his aid to calm him down. Then you have all the Blk men and women who will tell DV survivors or those who ended up out of wedlock- 'you should've chose better'- whilst ignoring the fact that there is hardly anything to choose from but these aggressive or micro aggressive misogynoir peddling men. Look at all the rappers who got accused of DV and had not one repercussion from our community. These disparaging attitudes towards Black women are common place.

Not necessarily. DV/IPV can be found in many forms and it may never appear the same for all people who experience it. That man had been abusing Keke long before the Usher concert. The fact that he felt so comfortable shaming her publicly showed his mistreatment of her was normal. He was probably surrounded by people who supported his behavior, so he didn't think he'd get the backlash he did. He'd already tapped into her hidden insecurities and knew how deep they ran, so he was sure she would keep taking his bad behavior. I think people giving him hell and protecting Keke positively contributed to Keke walking away. What makes me sad for Keke is she is such a sweet, funny, & bubbly personality in front of the cameras & to know now she was suffering behind the scenes all this time she’s been with this bozo clown. Ooooh I hope some LA goons get him.

DV can happen to the so-called “best of us”, meaning accomplished, self sufficient, supposedly smart women. This young lady has NEVER been attached to foolishness. He brand has been well cultivated and all it took was for 1 raggedy mofo to shit on all that. Damn shame.

Thirstily approaching him at that party & every decision after that made me 😒. This is wild. 😮 I hope she goes hard in pressing charges & gets security detail in case anyone has an idea.

DV is NOT like catching a cold. Black women can avoid DV by simply stop dating the ONE MALE GROUP that's been kicking their ass since we got off the plantation.

Restraining orders are so tricky. It can sometimes take a few incidents to get it approved. Also the footage will for sure get him assault charges. I hope she get sole custody, he wants to hurt her so her may hurt that baby. It wouldn't be the first time we saw this show. Prayers for her and the baby.

I think anyone with common sense knew Darrin’s animosity about her outfit at the concert, was not about her outfit but about control and jealousy. She could have had on a burlap sack and he still would have complained.

Her mother came out and clocked his brothers ass for lying on her daughter, I sure didn't defend him when he made those comments just because she wanted to have some fun on her 30th birthday so Keke find a cousin if you need protection girl cause it would be a long time before he saw me or his child.

I got to a point that I was tired of arguing with these menisphere so-call men and pick me women speaking negatively about KeKe when she first left him. They called her every negative thing they could think of. She's for the streets. She's gonna be a broke baby moma because she disrespected this "good man." I said then you don't know why she got rid of him, and she has a right to make decisions concerning her life for reasons we are not privy to.
