This routine is perfect. I've been doing this for a few months now with micro twists to grow out my hair. I use water & mix 100% JBCO, shea butter, & a growth oil (for a better smell). My hair is retaining length more than ever before!

I use to have this problem. Try to not braid it too tight when starting the braid. Make sure it's not loose either .This will allow the braids to lay flat down in the direction you want it to.

Looks great Keke. Going to try this! How do you find your braids turn out after washing? My concern would be how frizzy and matted it gets for the take down. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I have never washed my hair with these in, so I'm unable to give you an answer, I'm sorry! I feel like washing them would make them a little more frizzy. Maybe adding water and conditioner during the takedown would work

I did not wash mine for 2 weeks but after 2wks I tried the ORS Dry Herbal Shampoo and cleansed my scalp and braids ( no water used). Week 3 I washed with shampoo but was very gentle on the braids and gently massaged the scalp. I DC'd and treated my hair as I normally would with LI conditioner and oils/butter and wrapped my braids as you would a relaxer, tied down my hair till dry to keep hair stretched. My hair dried with minimum frizz. I have 4b/4c texture. I apply a generous amount of conditioner to slightly damp hair then add oils as to moisturise my hair daily or every other day and my hair feels super soft to the touch. Try different ways and see what your hair likes. Hth
