@@SirUnaiEmery I cant say that necessarily but I do think it's a pick em that could go either way. There was a point where Brook was elite in my humble opinion. What do you reckon?

The GGG fight destroyed his career. Injured him too much and he wasn't the same in my view. Should have tried to unify. I think Spence would have still beaten him but his eye socket injury in the GGG was a turning point.

For my money Kell was giving Errol Spence a boxing lesson for first 6-7 rounds it's always stuck in my head because of how good Spence is

Brook's lack of an engine is what killed him in that fight. He was cruising then all of a sudden had nothing. People say it was Spence's body shots which did it but Kell had well-known issues with discipline, conditioning & making weight. He was massively drawn going into it coming down from MW. Spence's overall athleticism was too much in the end but Brook was the more skilful fighter.

Had Brook had the WBO/IBF unification with Jessie Vargas, it would have opened up some great fights at 147 at the time, GGG was way too good for him.

You should do a career review of Brook and Khan's life out of the ring 'life' haha ....doubt it could evade KZbin filters

Thanks for this Hatman, and for the Khan review. A lot of work went into this and you really went into a lot of depth on both. As for Brook, it was a good career but he just couldn't get the fights he wanted or needed when he was at his peak. He made a massive mistake fighting GGG but I suppose he felt he had to roll the dice. Glad to see him retire with a good payday and with his health.

You summed it up perfectly... Khan the better career overall, but Brook was always the better fighter (at least 1v1 against Khan's style and size). Both favourites for me following the sport, would have been good to see Brook Vs Garcia or Benn but oh well.

Up here in the Sheffield area, it’s quite common knowledge that Brooke’s living/ been living “a lie” throughout his life and, since being in the spotlight has only tried harder to keep this particular characteristic a secret. Which many of us believe is the reason for his less than healthy habit, an attempt to escape reality.

Very skilled fighter but made a lot of bad career decisions which seemed insane. Imo Khan was living in his head. He wanted to be seen as Britain's no. 1 welter from before the GGG fight but it wasn't his time yet. Maybe he wasn't patient enough. He also seemed to come across as a guy who got sucked in by the high life hence his lack of discipline when it come to settling at a weight. Despite what HM said in this video I believe he had the beating of Errol Spence in their fight but eventually got outlasted due to stamina rather than skill. I agree that fight effectively ended him. At least he won a title but unfortunately won't never be remembered as anywhere near elite for me.

Even a prime Brook would never have beaten Crawford. Like Mayweather Crawford would often lose the first couple of rounds while he gathers info on his opponent before taking away their strengths and then putting his foot on the gas

It's a shame the way Brook's career was forever shadowed by Amir Khan. We'll never know for sure but I actually think Brook was closer to getting the Mayweather fight than Khan ever was. There was a time when Mayweather vs Brook could've been made in 2015 for the undisputed WW title when Mayweather had just beaten Pacquaio to become unified WBA, WBC and WBO champion. Unfortunately the WBO had a rule saying he couldn't hold titles in 2 weight divisions as he was also unified SWW champion and asked him to vacate the SWW titles or the WBO WW title which Mayweather did the latter. Had the WBO not pressured Mayweather into vacating the WBO title, I think he would have done the undisputed fight with Brook as it was the last thing to tick off in his career and become an undisputed champion.

Khan had a better career obviously, was brought through well, getting an Olympic medal 🥈 propelled him to get more attention which equals 🟰 💰. Brook had poor work rate in the gym and poor lifestyle. But came down raw talent Brook was the better fighter no doubt

Always found Khan over rated and brook under rated.. Khan in his prime would have folded in the first round after the body/head hook combo from triple g... His hands were something to behold but if he had half as good defense and resistance as he had in speed he woulda been special..
