Despite Khan being a major troll throughout a lot of his career, I'm definitely going to miss him 😂The retirement of Brook and now Khan kind of symbolises the end of an era in British Boxing. The days when Haye, Froch, Khan, Brook, DeGale and Groves were the main men. It wasn't a golden era but there are definitely some great memories from this time! Sad to see it come to an end.

Been looking forward to your career review of Khan - can’t wait to listen now ! But have to say firstly = Happy retirement to Amir Khan: 🥊 🇬🇧 what an unbelievable rollercoaster career with ups & downs but in your prime you was legit elite level - every fight has been pure box office & your resume & legacy speaks for itself in a 17 year long pro career: 🇬🇧 🥊 Look at the list: •2x world champion •Unified world champion at 24 years old •Olympic Silver medalist at 17🥈 •3 major world titles (WBA, WBA Super, IBF) •fought 16 world champions and beaten 11 of them •10 world title fights •fought for world titles at 3 weights •fought the pound for pound best •fought 5 unbeaten fighters & beaten 3 of them •8x international & regional titles. •headlined at most of the iconic boxing venues in the world •ESPN Prospect Of The Year 2008 •US Boxing Writers Fight Of The Year 2010 •Headlined big PPV events in US & UK •Broke new ground fighting in Saudi Arabia on SBL promotions •British Team GB Olympic Legacy, Charity & Community work to help others in need •pioneer for promoting and development of boxing in the Middle East and South Asia •WBC Middle East Boxing President •Boxing promoter with Khan Promotions and SBL = British boxing legend 🇬🇧 🥊

Khan fought everyone, I think his most notable win was against prime Maidana. He was involved in some entertaining fights. He made a lot of money in the sport, a household name etc but one of the things he should be proud of is how much he has helped British fighters, and his charitable work, the orphanages in Gambia, NHS were cool.

People do not give Khan the credit his career deserves, yes he is a bit of a prat, and I think a lot of the hate comes from the fact that he's Muslim, and that in it's self is disgusting, half of the people and especially boxers who slag him off are just purely jealous, the likes of Brook would love to have the resume Khan has, anyone would, plus, hua attitude in fights was pure entertainment, would go out on his shield. I for one lived watching his fights, edge of your seat stuff. Was in some classics, the miadana fight was amazing.

Good overview of Brook's boxing career; I'm also surprised that he's decided to call it a day right now, as, going on the Khan bout,, it seems he has more left to offer. I think Brook made an error of judgement taking the GGG fight when he should have defended his IBF belt and try to take Vargas's in a welterweight unification fight. The Golovkin fight seriously shorten his career and he never really fully recovered. That together with Brook not being the most disciplined fighter outside the ring took its toll on him and his career became more hit and miss at this point. It's a shame that he couldn't bow out in a scrap with Danny Garcia, but, he's retired and we have to respect his choice.
