I started watching and working out to your videos about 5 years ago and I'm now in the best shape of my life at the age of 45 :) I won't watch any other work out videos because you guys are simply the best! I love the variety of work outs you offer and I love how real and down to earth you and your hubby are :) I feel like you're experiencing the work out just like I am and you're not some plastic, barbie like woman who doesn't seem real. You are by far more beautiful and I love your honesty about the struggles you've had with your own body image. You are both an inspiration. Thank you so much!

I still like to warm up a bit on the tread mill, like a mile or so, and then do one of the HIIT videos or whatever. I've seen a lot of improvement in my overall strength and endurance. I always thought to myself that exercising is just a way to make me look good. I have been always insecure about my body. It didn't help that I have a habit of looking at myself on the mirror. Before I knew all of this information about proper diet and exercise, I had a serious anxiety feeling and I was constantly felt stressed. I felt weak, and I felt that I was about to faint. I was underweight at that time. When I saw FitnessBlender, I noticed sudden changes. I was quite upset that I gained weight, but I realized that I ate more properly had a proper exercise schedule. I felt happy. I felt strong and I just wanted to jump around! I'm still suffering from anxiety and my insecurities but FitnessBlender showed me that exercising is not all about looking good. It is about training your body to become strong and to become a better person and have a healthy life. Sorry about this comment...I just needed to pour all my feelings and I wanted to just to say thank you to FitnessBlender! I wanted to feel motivated again so writing this comment made me feel a lot better!

You guys really inspire me and you help me keep my routines from getting too "routine". Is there a right and wrong way to do your workout splits besides resting muscle groups for a day in between? I had consulted a personal trainee who said my breakdown wasn't correct (legs/butt 2 times a week arms/back 2-3 and cArdio 4-5) but it course wanted an insane amount of money to tell me how to correct it.

You could do videos on these things. - What a typical work day for you is like - What you typically eat in a day - What your cheat days are like - Oh, oh. And maybe one with a tour around your house! Kelli, I've been doing Fitnessblender workouts for over a year now and I absolutely love them! One question though, my starting weight was 58kg (127lbs) and very little muscle tone or strength. Since I started your workouts, my weight dropped quite rapidly (thanks to eating clean as well) to a minimum of 50kg (110lbs). Since then it went back to 54kg (119lbs) and I felt great. But in the past 2 months it's been going up again, and I'm back to 127lbs, but I have waaay more defined abs and glutes, and I feel strong and eat healthy. Do you know if this kind of weight gain is normal or is there something wrong? I would love your opinion. I'm 5 foot 6 inches, if that helps. Thank you so much, I'm very grateful to you for motivating and helping me. You're the only workout channel I trust fully to have my best interests at heart.

+cjb I think as a beginner with little muscle, you lost quite a lot of body fat. Know you begin to gain muscles, which shows on the scale, because muscle is a lot 'heavier' than fat - that means you lost fat and gained muscles - that's great!:)

@ValerieBeau 7 жыл бұрын
banana "The lesson is to focus on your body, not your weight. ... A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. But the body fat is more "fluffy" and the muscle is more "dense and compact." Muscles take up less space in your body, so body weight may go up as you add compact, tight muscle mass." knowing this has helped me a lot I used to just stick to eating healthy or barely eating because whenever i exercised i used to gain weight (i know it sounds messed up, but unfortunately thats why i avoided gaining muscle for a long time)

Hi! If I could just 'jump in,' I've recently lost about 27 lbs and I could share some things about that with you. I've kept myself committed to the small, short-term goals once I started losing weight. But as I got closer and closer to my imagined ideal bodyweight I've found that tracking my progress by measuring weightloss didn't cut it anymore. I was much better off just focusing on how my body composition changed and improved and shaped up, how my clothes fit and how I felt. I'm still very much not interested in knowing how much I weigh. I think you could get by just fine, if not better, working out to lose weight without weighing yourself. You'll know you're doing good when you feel it and when you see it! (:

I am new to lifting weights. It was my first day trying the squat rack and I lifted 50lbs (2x25lbs) and my legs felt strong. I could have pushed more weight but my arms were the thing that bothered me. Holding my arms like that for an extended period of time started to hurt and strain. I could focus on my lower half as my upper half was in pain. Any suggestions on how to get around this? I really want to start training hard cause I believe I can do it but this is holding me back

As I've been exploring exercise and strength training, a lot of people talk about strength training different muscle groups at different times. My question is in your videos it seems like its either upper body, lower body or total body. But when I told my friend who is a personal trainer that she didn't understand because she says different arm muscles should be worked out on different days? So i'm just wondering how you work all the different muscle groups with and give them their breaks? Thanks -Nicole
@palpo5
@palpo5 7 жыл бұрын
The way your arms (well all your body has similar things, but you asked about upper body so..) and upper body in general is built makes it so that there are several (I see it as 2, but it's arguable) groups of muscles. What do they mean? Basically, different movements (and thusly exercises) use different muscles. The goal behind "different arm muscles should be worked out" is simply not to neglect some of your body. I personally like training them both together alternating between the two, but everyone is different and rarely will you find absolute "true" of "false". If you wish to focus on a specific group, you'll have to feel which muscles you're working to classify the movement you're preforming. It may help to have a base line, so you can compare one of them to the type of muscles used in pull-ups, and the other is used in dips (and push-ups). (*used = primarily worked on) Hope it helped (and wasn't too long :) )

After years of working out I started 12 weeks ago liftibg heavier to build muscle. I've been doing full body workouts ( some of yours 😊 ) for those 12 weeks. My question is you said you did 2 days for upper and 2 for lower. I'm wondering if I should more of a split routine now. I'm having a hard time getting through all the sets sense I'm liftibg heavier and I feel like I'm not recovering well. I'd also like to concentrate more on certain muscles. Do you think its to soon to switch? Also how wheb do I do hiit?? Thanks you - leah
@destineemerritt5748
@destineemerritt5748 6 жыл бұрын
Leah Ingraham definitely start a split routine. Allow your muscles to recover. After working a certain muscle group give it 48 hours to recover. So work on a different part of the body. Legs one day, arms next, back next, and abs one day. Make sure you rest one weekends. You don't want to over train.

I think it's good to do different work-outs so you don't reach a plateau. You always want to challenge your body to get more fit and strong.

Try licorice tea trust me it's so good. I also add it to other types of teas as a sweetener! It's amazing! U can turn it into iced tea too for a refreshing drink..

Kendra Harrison Try to flavour it with some lemon juice. I usually add some cocomber slices and minth leaves as well...put it on the fridge an let is rest until the next day....oh and I do prepare 6 litres so I can have some stock when I am running out of time. Tell me what you find ☺
