Podcasts are now a necessity for me for doing dishes. lol. I gained an appreciation for audiobooks after my concussion as it was easier on my head to listen than physically read. I also have always loved oral storytelling, so it gives me some of that feeling as well. There are some voices though that just don't work for me, but them doing character voices doesn't bother me if they are good at it. I highly recommend LeVar Burton Reads as a podcast. He's a great narrator and picks interesting stories, and it's like Reading Rainbow for adults for those of us who remember that show. :) This is a beautiful collection. Autumn and Olive Grove are my favourites.

That collection is so pretty and gives me so much cosy fall vibes i like it ☕️ And i recently have been listening to audiobooks when i drive for a long time (like over an hour) I find it « keeps me awake » more than just listening to music cause i focus on it when music just soothes me and i feel more sleepy 😂 but i prefer listening to books i already read because like you i prefer to read it to understand it better. But that’s cool too cause i’m a huge fan of comfort reading and i love re-reading books i love 😂

I am very pro podcast when exercising! Something about my anxiety means if I'm just listening to music my thoughts can still spiral away, but having narrative content keeps me out of my head. Although sometimes I have laughed out loud at something I've been listening to, which can be embarrassing, so it's not perfect haha Happy to recommend podcasts if you do find yourself looking for more to listen to 😊

I got them. My first color of this collection will be the green. Since the trees have not changed yet. Then I will use the red cause my tree in my front window is that same red. Next will be the oranges. Then when all the trees have changed colors completely before falling I will do skittle manies of this collection till they have all fallen to the ground. 🤩

Kelli, what you said about audiobooks & tedious task, so true! But I've found I have to listen to something that's more lighthearted. Turns out the How To Train Your Dragon book series has TWELVE books and the audiobooks are voiced by David Tennant! SO GOOOD!!! And perfect for carrying you through extra tedious tasks.

I have had similar audiobook experiences to yours. I hate them generally, for the same reasons you gave, but years ago we moved from AL to MO, and I found that while I was driving that very long distance so many times back and forth, I was able to listen to the book and it helped distract me from the boring road.

I totally agree with you about audiobooks! I also use them for cardio (indoors only, I don’t use headphones when out running, for safety) and it helps the time go by faster! I also listen to them sometimes when working on crafts, it’s weird because it makes the finished product associated with that story in my mind.

Like a lot of people are saying, I think this is one of the best, if not the best, polish collections ever where I'm in love with every single shade. 🤎 I just love autumn, and this collection is after my heart (and wallet lol). Realistically though, I think I'd wear Dakota, Hayride, and Penny way more often during fall. But Olive Grove is speaking to the green-lover in me. Wonderful swatch review as always!

I think the collection is extremely well done- the purple and the green are the standouts for me, but I like them all. I bought all the colors this time except for Hayride because I didn't need two oranges and Pumpkin Patch appealed to me a little bit more. An extremely Lovely Fall offering.

I do love how these look on the nail with movement (still swatches don't always fully capture the dimensions of polishes like these). Not sure if they're a bit too dark for my skin tone (tend not to suit the darker tones - they make my skin look jaundiced & I'm not a fan of that look lol) but they really are beautiful! They're spot on for autumn and really do look like they're full of tiny leaves. They're the kind of colours which make me long for crunchy leaves to stomp in, but that doesn't happen here, we just get squelchy wet mush due to all the rain. Last time the leaves were crunchy in October was 2005 where I am (did have more when I was a little kid prior to 2000). That was such a warm & dry autumn that I was wearing short sleeves outside! As opposed to the more common long sleeves, plus a coat, scarf, gloves & earmuffs. Here we just get mushy browns & greys for autumn and lots of rain. I just forcibly decorate my house to try to feel like its "proper" autumn here. Already got the new Halloween decorations added to my collection (which may be year round lol). Noone ever comes to trick or treat here which is a shame. But I always dress up anyway.
