Hi! Beginner, here. Do jelly polishes dent easily? ("squishy" texture = more prone to dents? if you hit your nail against something?) Thanks!!

@@janeace426 I'd say anything without a topcoat will dent easily. A topcoat not only helps seal the polish and keep it from chipping but also helps it dry thoroughly. I used to get pillow/hair imprints on my nails that I'd do before bed because I didn't realize the importance of a quick dry topcoat.

Orly is so often overlooked for pricier, custom colors. But Orly is a great polish and these colors prove it. These are perfect colors for summer. Making waves is my fave. ❤️

Loved the jelly sandwiches! And as someone who is lactose intolerant too, you should check out Kraft cheese. Their mozzarella sticks, shredded cheese, and blocks of cheese contain 0g of lactose (it shows it on the back of the bag right below the nutrients facts). It changed my life when I found that out!!

I bought all four jellies and Dancing Queen. I absolutely LOVE all of these polishes. Since I have all three primary colors with the inclusion of the red Sweetheart I can mix all my secondary colors and they are stunning. I’m loving all the sandwiches these are making- just beautiful! I am looking forward to winter and making a snowflake sandwich with the blue jelly! Gorgeous!

I'm lactose intolerant too, but I found the perfect thing for it. I'm hoping it's in the USA, but they're tablets called Lacteeze Ultra, they're chewable fast-acting tablets that let you have dairy. Literally a game changer for me 😁

We have a pill called Lactaid that does essentially the same thing! But I try not to eat dairy regardless to be honest haha! I do keep some tablets for when I'm eating out though because everything has dairy snuck into it lol 😄

I bought the valentines trio back in feb and honestly every polish in that collection was just amazing- when i used sweetheart i just fell in love with the formula and it was just so juicy and squishy looking- i ordered poolside and make waves and can not wait to try them. I really hope they make the rest of the rainbow i would be so happy! 🌈

Orly is my favorite mainstream brand now. I recently bought Poolside from Orly (wasn’t even intending on buying polish 😅) I haven’t gotten it yet,but it looks so juicy and squishy! I just got Making Waves, Party Animal, and Dancing Queen from HB Beauty Bar. That blue jelly sandwich sold me!

My favorite brand for jellies is 11am cosmetics (on etsy). The photos they post are not that great, but the actual polishes are SO BRIGHT, they come in a million colors, and the formula is pretty clear. I prefer a clear jelly to a milky jelly, personally!

Daiya has cheesesticks! I've never tried them but I like their dairy free shredded cheeses. You could coat them in a mixture of breadcrumbs, eggs, vegetable oil and fry them to make mozzarella sticks. I've got to try a jelly sandwich some time it looks so fun.

The glitter toppers make me think of an updated version of the china glaze toppers from like 2016ish I remember one was called "can I get an unz unz" and it was the same colors as dancing queen, so I definitely want that one, and all the jellies!

I just grabbed way too many of the cirque jellies and a few glitters for sandwiches so I can try your tutorials and on a whim I grabbed the newest Orly jellies (make waves on your rec of course!) I had the Orly subscription last year, first time really having that brand. I loved the colors but they just do not last on my nails. I tried their bonder base , Holo Taco base, and bare nail. I think bare worked base, but still not super impressed with lasting power. I ended up not renewing this year. But those toppers.... I need them! I've been wanting them since they popped up in my socials. Seeing them swatched just solidifies my desire to own them.

I know what you mean by the nostalgia of the glow in the dark bowling alley carpets. For me, it triggers memories of skating rinks. I've never been a clubber, but I do enjoy hitting the roller skating rinks where they're still rocking those carpets. lol As for your lactose intolerance, have you ever tried the pills that are lactase enzyme replacements? They're great!

I skipped the Orly jellies since I have so many cirque jellies but I may have to try them. I did get the toppers and I just feel like all of their polish in general is so beginner-friendly. So many cool toppers require a lot of work to get them to look nice and theirs just go on so easily with one coat and have plenty of pay off.

Not a fan of yellow but the other jellies are lovely! Orly released Just Bitten and Blue Suede a number of years back and they are just so, so good. I agree they go on perfectly evenly and you can stop at any number of coats you want.

I love jelly and matte glitter topper! I have been switched over to gel polish for a long time but I still buy nail polish for some interesting jelly or topper color. I also think Orly is one of the mainstream brand that does jelly and matte glitter well. I love the gel polish version of their matte glitter too. I haven't checked yet but I hope they will release these two glitter in gel fx formula.
