The ingredient you want to avoid using with glitters is 'Heptane'. The Orly one is good - it's the same as the Sally's one in this video but without the Heptane. Hope that helps anyone who come across this comment thread! 💕 (I've seen a lot of comments concerning this point, so I thought I'd just throw in up here in case it saves anyone some time!)

Doesn't old nail polish start yellowing the nails?
@JadenYukifan28
@JadenYukifan28 9 ай бұрын
@@vidyaarvind4458Actually, what makes your nails yellow is how long you are wearing the Nail Polish among other reasons.
@vidyaarvind4458
@vidyaarvind4458 9 ай бұрын
@@JadenYukifan28 Usually, when exposed to water and chores, most non gel nail polishes start chipping within a week and need to positively be removed by the 7th or 8th day or even sooner depending on the brand, to avoid chipped nails looking tacky. But with thinned out nail polish, nails could turn yellow due to addition of thinner.
@JadenYukifan28

I have a discontinued OPI color I love that is like goopy Elmer’s glue now, wwwaaaahhhhh! I did not want to throw it away, and now I don’t have to. Duh on my part! I should have known about this thinner product. But then I’ve been out of the business for decades now and I’ve forgotten some things. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll pick some up next time I’m at cosmo prof or sally. Blessings to you!

As the others said you might be allergic, use gloves or in combo with a dropper. I'm highly allergic to the eye drop medication my kids needed for an eye infection they had. The doctor initially said get someone else to apply them! Good luck in finding out the reason why you were reacting so badly.

I am SO glad you said using acetone is only going to ruin your polish as I was waiting for you to say that's what you use to thin it. Yes I confess I came here ready to thumbs down! In their defense, using acetone is ok for one last use when you don't have a thinner handy but you better be prepared to throw out the polish because it's ruined now, mate! Anyway, I hope your boss was thrilled and you can tell her that she's probably inspired a lot of people to get that silver polish! P.S. I have used denatured (not isopropyl) alcohol without any issues in the past, but nail polish thinner is still the best option. I have also added BB's (as in BB gun - so much cheaper than buying the beads labeled specifically for nail polish) to bottles that don't have mixing beads as to help mix the thinner into polishes that are glue-like. It helps to break the "goop" up. Kelli... If you see this. I very much enjoy your videos. SO UPBEAT AND FUN. The descriptives of color, finish, and special features are SO SPOT ON. I keep my nail polish in the refrigerator and they stay like New for years. I have some from Avon that I've been having for at least 8 years and they apply just like when I first bought them. Maybe that's a tip you can tell your viewers about. It really works, I promise. But they have to stay in the fridge continuously when not in use.

OMG!!! How freaky is this video?! Only bc TODAY, I gave myself a black on black matte French Manicure...As I was going through my polishes (140 + last time I counted) Anyway, I was wondering if there was anyway to *bring back* for lack of better words my old mail polishes...some are really really thick due to age. I have been collecting for a few yrs now...Lol I come on UTube just to check some things out as I'm settling down from my lonnng day....low & behold this video is the 2nd in line....I almost died bc I NEVER searched this idea, EVER! Was going too but didn't get around to it. Wow! Mind blowing!

Since I was homeless for a few years my collection of polishes have been "winterized" in the freezing cold and heated up in the hot summers. I'm sure you can imagine what my once beautiful polishes look like now. My sister got on Amazon and purchased an enormous bottle of Karlash nail polish thinner. It also came with a smaller bottle with a dropper. I am going to clean the tops and then add the thinner. Thank you so much for the video, Kelli. I am sure with the directions you gave I will be able to make my polishes like new. 😊💅

Kelli.. thank you so much for making this. I destroyed so many polishes try to restore them with acetone. I just saved around 15 bottles of polish, averaging around $5 each. The thinner was about $5. I saved $75 restoring old goopy polishes. Including the price of thinner, I saved a total of around $70. I seriously owe you for helping me save them!!

@KelliMarissa

I’d give them a good shake and check the consistency first - if they’re thick, go ahead and add thinner! Sometimes they separate because the color gets so thick and solid, thinner would definitely help.
