If your recording in a room with no acoustic treatment & your getting a echoey bathroom type of sound, using Adobe Auditions noise reduction plugin called "DeNoise" can help isolate your vocals & remove that room noise. Maybe your recording near a window with cars going by or dogs barking, maybe you have people in the room over being loud...Using Adobe Auditions "DeNoise" plugin will help fix all of that & isolate your vocals from the noise. Now lets say you dont have any echoey noise but for some reason your getting unwanted hiss in your mic, for an example the sm7b can give you alot of hiss if you dont have enough gain to power it...well if your getting hiss in your microphone, Adobe Auditions noise reduction plugin will help fix that aswell removing the hiss from your audio recording. This plugin can do wonders & I almost always use it on my vocals, even if its just a tiny little bit. If you have hiss or room noise in your audio, use Adobe Auditions "DeNoise"!

The only tutorial for "melodic raps" is the autotune videos I have made. Everything else can still be applied to any genre, I just did a melodic rap for a lot of my demos...Ill have more tutorials coming out soon, just taking a break to work on some of my own music for now. 🙏

Yo Kelli, could you please run up a video (if you haven't already) on the best recording settings to use? From gain on your interface, to the windows mic settings etc? I'm finding my recordings are quite loud, but without the gain I don't get a monitor volume in my headphones so finding the balance between recording volume and still hearing the feedback through my headphones seems difficult for me. I use the NT2A with the Scarlet Solo interface. Also using the FL studio ASIO driver. When recording, what kind of levels do you expect your vocals to be at before editing? Hope this makes sense, appreciate your videos big time, i've been forever hassled to use LOGIC as it's "better" but I know how powerful Audition is and can't bring myself to switch.

Ill take note. When recording, try turning your beat down on the program and your volume levels on your interface up, this way you can hear your self through the mic an still hear the beat nice & get a even volume. I base my vocal level off the beat. I keep my beat between -10 & -15...depends on the beat, this is called gain staging & will help alot with your mix, give your effects & vocals room to breath an also will help you with your volume levels when recording. Once I have the beat set to a certain volume, ill adjust my vocals accordingly. If your talking mic gain, I usually keep my mic gain between 30 & 50%. Happy I can help man! Ya... @@KelliMusic Legend, will have a play around, I think me having the beat too loud is probably the problem, I don't bring it down enough and not leaving enough room for vocals (and I mostly rip off KZbin before buying it so the EQs are probably trash too I guess). It depends what your going for. If you want a more reverby, exciting sound, go for the Tory one. If you want a more in your face, clean cut sound go for the Russ.

Can you program drums right in Adobe audition? I believe the answer is no. Please help me fill in the blanks. You cannot program drums in Adobe audition because Adobe audition is a _______ and to program drums you need a ________. Something about a VST?

Adobe Audition is mainly for recording vocals. Its mainly for radio & podcasting. You cant program drums in Adobe Audition. You can record drums, cant program them like you can in fl studio. If your looking to make beats & do stuff with drums, id suggest fl studio, it has an amazing drum machine.
