Can we give a hand to *Kelly Clarkson* for being a consistently great live vocalist for essentially 2 decades now! 👏✨ She's effortlessly soulful. *Ariana Grande's* vocal improvement is admirable. Not only does she actively support her notes more than before but 3:17 it's great to see her doing riffs & runs without relying on jaw movements (it's not completely gone but it has reduced to a degree). 💐

I love that ariana grande has her own way of singing she doesn't try to be this overly loud chesty singer. She has balanced mix sometimes more so on the heady side but thats what I love she has her own unique beauty and it has nothing to do with being loud/powerful. Just about adding different vocal ornaments that gives ARIANA . Her musicality is actually astonishing. If you check out the sweetener world tour videos you'll see her switch a song a million different ways and every run and note change fits perfectly. Defiantly in the top 5 of her generation and her tone is beautiful/unique and clearly is loved more than most singers from her generation.

@@keke6547 disagree about all time. all three of those ladies are exceptional. just because they aren't Mariah, Celine or Whitney doesn't mean they aren't exceptional. this is a generational thing, where no one from an older time wants to believe/ admit that anyone from this current generation can stand up as one of the greatest of all time at anything. At some point, someone in music is gonna come along and wind up being better than Mariah ever was, just like Mariah came in and was better than whatever well-known singer was considered the best, before her. Not saying that Ari, Tori, or Jessie are those artists (yet, anyway), but they definitely each have something special about them that puts them each as one of the greatest to ever do it, which is not a short list of people. I know everybody's going to jump all over me. There's no question Ariana grande can sing I just don't like her voice. I can't put my finger on it either. I beyond love Kelly Clarkson's voice. The richness, the depth, the wide open throat, the tiny little inflections peppered through everything that you have to listen to a song to over and over again to catch them all. I keep trying to like Ariana and I'm not sure, but, her voice comes across as really thin to me. Kelly seems like a grown woman. Like a Patsy Cline, an Ella Fitzgerald, a Judy garland, an Aretha Franklin.... Ariana still sounds like a young girl to me and as youth obsessed America gets more and more obsessed with younger and younger celebrity singers the lack of maturity sound gets more popular. I don't know how old Ariana is. I'm wondering if that rich, womanly, mature sound I miss so much in popular music of today we'll just come with time for her.
@varunravi273 жыл бұрын
Ariana's voice is only thin because she's a light-lyric soprano. That's just how her voice is made. She can't help it. And I think you need to check your ears in some way because the womanly sound in Ariana's voice is quite obvious nowadays (it was there even in 2018 and 2019 but it wasn't as obvious because she was younger)

My mother was a trained classical pianist and my father played clarinet with some of the most respected jazz musicians that ever lived. I'm highly trained and my ear is well well developed. There are opera singers who do not have the thing quality I'm talking about. A lyrics soprano in Opera is often cast in youthful roles however they should have a warm tone which Ariana is lacking but I hear a little more as she ages. Hey lyrics soprano does have a brilliant tone but it should be pleasing. Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars would be good people for you to study in this regard. They are both light lyrical tenors. Unless you need your ears checked I'm sure you would agree that they don't sound like little boys even though one of the descriptive of a light lyrical tenor is a boyish quality. My mother was a highly trained classical pianist. My father played clarinet with some of the all-time, most respected jazz musicians in all of history. People Harry connick Jr would have killed the play with. My ears and my fingers and every other part of me is highly developed and well-trained. You on the other hand the little Google search found a couple technical terms and try to play it off like you know anything. A light lyrical soprano does have a youthful quality but also should have a warmth about it and she should be able to access depth she can't she hasn't developed that part of her voice. Just like brilliant doesn't mean sharp. A good couple of people for you to study in this regard is Bruno Mars and Michael jackson. They are both light lyrical tenors. Unless your ears need checking I'm sure you would agree that they don't sound like little boys. They can access grit, power, warmth & weigh in their vocal. A light lyrical Tanner is described as having a boyish quality and they certainly both can get that light sound and capitalize on the brightness that they have access to. So, go ahead go back to Google look up a couple technical terms that you really have no idea what they mean stick them in so that you can pawn yourself off of some expert and continue to sip your Kool-Aid so that you at the expense of other people's feelings and your souls willingness to be cruel blindly and sycophantly defend all your little celebrity cult leaders who couldn't care less if you were dead even though nobody attacked them. That is far more arrogant and rude of a comment than telling someone to check their ears. Before telling me to do the things that you mentioned, i strongly suggest you do them. I'm very sorry if I offended you by telling you to check your ears 😔 But what you said is just as hurtful. People like you need to learn to think before you say things. Don't call others cruel when you really are. I simply corrected you. The only mean thing I said was to check your ears but you said a whole lot of mean things including: my parents cannot raise a decent human being and aren't decent human beings, I act like a little Nazi and I google-searched technical terms (you're accusing me of not knowing things when you simply cannot hear changes in someone's voice).
