@@pokemontas8025 actually, if you stop the video right at 3:42 you will see Adam sitting next to that guy that stood up. i am a huge kelly clarkson fan -- i've seen her live about 12 times -- so i made sure to watch the grammys that year. and i remember vividly Adam standing up and clapping for her. he's there! watch the video closely and pause it right at 3:42. the youtube video doesn't show him stand, but the live televised grammys, he stood. his original drummer, ryan dusick, who is also sitting next to him, also stood up for her. it's just not in this video.

When I heard this song - on the TV Grammy show, I was floored. Never did I think anyone could ever write a song about my relationship with my alcoholic mother. Literally felt the same. I first heard this song when I was 15 or so. I’m now 30 and it hits even harder!!! That insane!! I felt the words but they cut so much deeper now. Feel like I have so much untouched traumatic experiences that haven’t been dealt with properly; I feel like now they’re slowly killing me! So I’m trying to battle these demons & hoping I win! Sorry for this long ass comment though. But I know someone out there somewhere feels the same & want to let anyone know they are NOT alone and we WILL figure this shit tf out! You can tell she’s struggling and having trouble in this performance from the start. You can hear it in her labored breaths and breathing in the middle of phrases. Even so, not a note off pitch, and the sustained high note during the bridge. Even with the breathing trouble, she’s literally perfect, and I am so amazed by that!
