“This Caucasian Woman “ 💀 Kelly is all kinds of amazing. I saw her a few times in concert , but it was early days. right after seasons 1 and 2 of idol. She actually toured with my season 2 choice Clay Aiken. I had technically gone for Clay, but I was definitely a major Kelly fan before her set .was over . Don’t get me wrong, I had voted for her on season one. She was hands-down, my favorite, but she completely won it me over when I saw her in concert. And then I saw her first solo tour. But I want to see her now because her voice has evolved I to something I can only describe as pure magic. Sings Whitney , Mariah and Celine effortlessly. Heck, season 1 of Idol, she did Mariah’s version of Without You and it was so good. In season 1 they had an encore chosen each week and her performance was so good that it was chosen for the encore., And it was better than the first.. I think she’s in the same league as Whitney , Mariah Celine or any of the all time greats. And with Kelly, I love that dyes still so humble . Not a diva by any means . Makes her success that much sweeter. I could listen to Kelly all day. A favorite of mine is from get first album, called Addicted. Didn’t get attention but I love it , same goes for a song on same album, with fellow season 1 contestant, Tamyra Gray called “ you thought wrong”. Great duet/song. Look those up if you haven’t heard them, or just for a refresher ,. It was early on as I said, so there wasn’t much put into the 2 songs in terms of a big powerhouse production value, and that’s my whole point, that I feel the songs were great without all of that. Completely underrated and I wish they had gotten more play. Heck, even her concert in the very beginning had such a small setup. It was literally a few draped curtains with candles in various heights. So simple, and it allowed her voice to be the focus. But I want to hear her in person now, with all of these years experience behind her. If these performances on tv have been any indication of how she will sound in overdone, I’d be in for the show of a lifetime. .. love ya Kelly ! Ok I promise I’ll shut up now, sorry to have rambled on so much or if my thoughts are all over the place .
