The Kelly Clarkson Show

2 ай бұрын

Earlier this month, the brave men and women of the Louisville Division of Fire performed a daring rescue when a semi-truck was dangling over the Ohio River with a driver trapped inside. Sgt. Joe Berrow, Cpt. Michael Renn and rescue firefighter Bryce Carden reflect on the harrowing day, and share how their team was able to do something they've never done before to get the driver safely out of the truck. Watch till the end for a special message from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to the brave firefighters.

Great story how everyone avoided panic. That truck was hanging on by a thread. Rather amazing it didn't fall to the river, not to mention how odd that it managed to turn sharp enough to fit through the bridge members. What ruined it for me is that attention seeking politician calling in, he had nothing to do with the brave action of all involved, but he had to be a politician getting his face in front of the public even if he had to shoehorn his way in. Still, that politician being a typical slimeball politician takes nothing away from the folks involved in this.

As a Lu-a-vull 😉 Kentucky native…I was brought to tears. Our first responders don’t always get the kiddos they deserve but they are HEROS. Our Louisville police put their lives on the line a year ago at the Old National Bank mass shooting where the first officer that moved towards the shooter was shot in the head and has survived and works so hard to heal and get stronger every day. Kiddos to these firefighters, police and first responders. Kentucky Proud

I just watched her first interview with a news channel from a few days ago they have the comments turned off. But it brought tears to my eyes because i can't imagine how it must feel to see ur life flash before ur eyes and see that open water being in that big truck thinking ur about to die a slow and painful death. I watched the live news cast that day and im so glad she survived. Nobody deserves to die like that. Brave , Brave woman!!❤

If and this is a big IF all of us around the world would just realize that working together to help each other is how we are supposed to be. The bickering, hate, killings for no reason at all, bitterness without forgiveness is tearing the human race apart. The brave and unselfish actions of everyone involved is the greatest gift that anyone can give. First responders have big hearts and give of themselves on a daily basis with little regard. Acts like this rescue are not for show, this was a God given command to do one thing right. All of the rescuers were placed where He wanted them to be. Allowing this woman to survive so that she would be able to find at a time in her life when she will help that one person.

People don’t understand how dangerous it can be. You can truly not come home one day and that’s scary. Most people will never know what these professionals do to help people. They put their lives on the line every single day for others they don’t even know. It takes a certain type of brave person to do these type or careers. So 👏
