My brother-in-law worked on a Pecan farm when he was young. He explained to me that it is pronounced "pecaan"; a "pee-can" is something into which you urinate!

Even though I really don't like apple pie. Simple apple pie from Macdonald when I was like 18 years ago was gross but I ate the whole thing even when I rant about them about being disgusting. Man at I am honest. When I was Grade 9/10 my cooking teacher prove me wrong made make an apple pie made me say that I like apple pie...through the years apple pie grew on me. I am 30 now and the flavor got better but then again I just don't find it good. It not bad but i can't really say they are good, i have some beef with apple pie
