Her voice is SO healthy and i dont understand how... it's not like she is resting she has to use her voice constantly!

It’s more complicated than that. The voice, though in part is composed of very delicate tissue, is however controlled by muscles along everything in your body that moves… so when those are used properly and consistently, they don’t atrophy and are able to continue using the entire system effectively… Talking a lot will not necessary wear your voice out if you do it correctly, and correctly means without strain… Another factor is that some people simply have very resilient voices… but there’s argument that that is directly correlated with the first part of this, which is using the voice correctly makes it be resilient… Thirdly, she’s always had a humongous range so, if decline does happen, she’ll still have a lot of range to play with. In her prime she consistently would hit G5 and above… and she doesn’t go above G5 lately anymore… so there is the possibility that there has been some decline… She’s only 39 and if you look in history at all the greatest vocalists, it’s pretty normal for them to retain their voices well into their 50s and even 60s, so 39, from a singer with relatively great placement, technique, and mix, it’s consistent for her voice to be in great shape. There’s obviously been many Class A vocalists who seemed to have lost their voices early on in life but those are the exception not the rule, I.e. Whitney, Mariah, Christina… (who didn’t truly lose their voices, just had a major change from their prime years) but you have to look at all the factors; drug use, vocal nodules, extreme strain…

@@ComeOnGe I completely agree with your third point. Also would like to add that Kelly films & talks so much for The Voice & her talk show that it’s more important than ever for her to take care of her voice, which I know she does because she talks about conditioning her voice to all the workload. She’s mentioned in the past that it’s all the talking from interviews (not so much the singing) that makes the voice even more hoarse. She’s very smart and aware & I’m not worried at all. She did hit G#5 during Dream On last year, many people were shocked she can still mix that high, but I’m certain her range has only increased, she’s just not going all out very often anymore.

@@lilianluu9 She also said recently that her range is bigger now, I think that she just want to go high when it is really necessary and not whenever it is possible.

@@lucasvalerio10 I agree, her tessitura esp. in the lower range definitely increased after River and Remy, ofc her head voice also became stronger and more extensive. With her mixed/full voice, I think she just doesn't want to do too much & risk tiring her voice out since she's filming constantly. If she falls ill, it would suck since she's a million jobs and people relying on her.

@@lilianluu9 I 100% agree that her range and mix is still there with the high notes, and has only gotten better. I also agree that she on purpose doesn’t go all out like she would in her 2011-2013 era. I even think there was an interview or a time when she stated she doesn’t hit the high note in subg anymore simply because she doesn’t find the need to do that anymore.

Not really her range is still there 100%. The only reason she lost ease above F#5 is because she’s a grown woman now. She has her fully developed voice, she’s not 20 anymore.
