I go out on a limb and say that this era has been vocally her best so far.... She may not have belted as many ultra high notes as she did in 2012/2013, but regarding creativity and versatility in style, timbre, and technique she outdid herself this year. Also I'd say her runs were the best they've ever been. She has evolved so much as a singer. It's just phenomenal how she uses her instrument. Whitney and Mariah are considered to be the best pop vocalists of all time, but let's be honest: Kelly clearly surpasses them regarding versatility and longevity (both their primes lasted about 15 years, Kelly's been quite consistent for nearly 20 years and even improved). Surely, her voice has changed over the years, but for the better. She struggled a bit in 2015, but fully recovered from that.

Facts.... she's more mindful on how to use her voice now too to preserve her voice for a long time.... she'll not belt an extra high notes all the time like she used to in 2012-13,not because she can't, she's more than capable of doing it..but she didn't go for those super high belts too often now to preserve her voice.... she's hitting them occasionally only ..she even mixed B5&C#6 on her MOL tour..

She didn't fully recover from 2015. Her voice changed. Perhaps it's not entirely for the worst, but it certainly isn't for the better. However, I do believe this era has shown us Kelly's range as a musician. She's definitely exploiting each facet of her instrument, and it's wonderful.

@@googleinc339 I differ. Her voice has certainly improved. Her head voice and falsetto certainly improved a lot. Her notes are longer and her tone is oh my, her tone is the best improvement. It was already so good but now it's much more fuller and richer.

Her lows have improved so much! And her belts are so free! Not to mention her head voice is so full and rich! She is one of the most well rounded vocalists out there!

@@justinvaughn7991 She’s singing two notes at the same time in one breath. Most singers can’t do it.

@@justinvaughn7991 what they said. She’s technically hitting two notes at once. Sometimes it’s one note at the same time as the same note an octave lower, and other times it’s one note and then a completely separate note and then she’ll harmonize with herself. It’s been shown to come out mostly in her whistle notes when she’s very tired (see her 2018 Vocal range video where she harmonizes an Eb6 whistle with a G#6 whistle recommend listen) she also did this on the voice after hearing a girl sang I Dare You (her second whistle after the song another recommended listen). It has also shown itself to appear in head and chest notes too though less common (13:00 is a perfect example), she’s also done it on a lower note for the very last ending note of her Dream On cover. It’s F4 with an F3 undertone. I recommend that as well.) It’s fascinating & rare! And the fact that it happens by accident (& when she’s tired) is even more interesting.

Her voice has gotten better and better. I don’t think she gets enough recognition for the vocal acrobatics she does. This woman can sing anything you put in front of her and make them all sound good. Love her! ♥️💕🔥🔥🔥

Wow the polyphonic B5 is so pretty, not even cause its vocally impressive, but the tone of that note is just... i dont even know how to describe it, its perfection. Also her belting range is sounding so easy for her, Im pretty sure she could hit A5/Bb5 if she wanted to.

She definitely lost her ease on F#5 and above but she is SO consistent up to F5 and honestly I think her mix is less heady than it used to get which imo sounds even nicer. She literally is in a new prime i fear.
