In this song Kelly Khumalo beautifully narrates the daily struggles of an African woman "saze salithwala idombolo",she narrates how the woman bears all the burdens in an African home,"saze sayithwala inkinga',everything is expected of the woman , feeding of the children,fetching the firewood etc.What I find most beautiful about her piece and its musical arrangement is how indirectly its a celebration of the African womans strength in as much it echoes their challenges,it testifies the magnitude of their resilience.The male backing vocalists whose voices have been fine tuned to sound like a group of women echoing in support of the message the song carries, brings weight to the song and sends the message across. She seals of the song with Zulu praise poetry , am left to assume she is giving tribute to the African woman.MaKhumalos music is drawn from a place of experience, being a single mom herself this song gives strength to other women like her who face daily struggles single handedly raising children within their homes
