Hi Kelly, what an amazing person you are. I am a 61 yo trans woman just starting my journey. My wife is slowly coming to grips with who I am and wish to be. We have been married for 42 years and she is very supportive. I am so lucky. I haven’t gone full time at this stage nor have I changed my name. I have been on hormones for 2 months and just starting to see some slight changes. I have a consultation with the Facial Team in December when they come to Australia and hopefully have that surgery early next year and I think this will be the right time for me to change my name to Melanie. Both my lovely wife and I are looking forward to the changes the future holds for us. You do seem like a well adjusted couple and I wish you all the best.
