When you unexpectedly pause and then do something totally different, it gives me a strange feeling in addition to the typical ASMR feeling. I think I figured out why! It reminds me of times when I am so sleepy that I am falling to sleep for just a second or two and then waking back up, and then there's a strange transition where I know that something happened but I missed part of it. It is like a simulation and recreation of that feeling.

the good thing about listening to asmr without headphones is *zero* background noise, just straight tingles. plus the tingles feel more paralyzing imo
