Batman Forever is and always will be my favorite Batman film and it’s wonderful that Seal gives so much credit to the great Joel Schumacher. The summer of 1995 hearing that song at the end of the the film is and was iconic!

Seal's voice and his music is so dreamlike. It takes you on a journey to the subconscious. My favorites are "Crazy", "Fly Like An Eagle", "Love's Divine" and of course the classic "Kiss From A Rose".

Saw Seal last week in St Louis and MAN, the guy still has it! His voice sounded great, spot on to the albums. Only disappointment was that very early in this tour they scrapped the idea of playing both albums back to back (which would have been a 3 hour show I wouldn't complain about!), I was so psyched for both albums, and aren't playing the 2nd half of the 2nd album and cutting Wild and Show Me from the 1st album. Was really looking forward to that one, but still, he put on a 2 hour show, went walking into the audience standing on seats singing, TWICE, during Get It Together (which oddly isnt on either album) and Killer, which were showstoppers! If you get a chance to see a show this tour you wont be disappointed. Tears For Fears coming up next month!!

Another great example. Kate Bush, 'Running Up That Hill (Deal With God)'. In 1985 the song did ok. But someone remembered it, and loved it, and put it in "Stranger Things" in 2022, and that song made a huge comeback, and did, and is still doing extremely phenomenal. You just never know.

It’s wonderful that people are appreciating beautiful music from the past again but y’all talk like barely anyone listened to the song between 1985 and 2022, it’s so bizarre. There’s a whole generation of people (early 90s kid myself) to whom the song was always relevant and I feel like I have to defend it in that sense. 😭

I dont know about america but in the UK that song was a huge hit originally. It grew into one of those classics. But Kate is a legend in the UK so it was great to see her have a whole new wave of global acknowledgement via stranger things. The fact RUTH was the biggest female song of 2023 on Spotify is incredible. I hope Kiss from a rose has that same fresh success one day. Its just great to see true talent be appreciated by new generations & not forgotten.

....all true...JOEL....was truly a visionary....he started off in the fashion world as an editor and stylist underneath the brilliant....and eccentric....EDITOR IN CHIEF OF AMERICAN VOGUE....DIANA VREELAND...he knew talent when he saw it....he loaned the brilliant American designer HALSTON seed money to open his own business.....he wrote the screenplay to the movie...THE WIZ...starring DIANA ROSS.....he also discovered JULIA ROBERTS....her brother too...he did the Batman movies until he became too campy with them....then he did the movie version of the musical....PHANTOM OF THE OPERA....with GERARD BUTLER....on and on i could go....the man had a lot of style and a lot of class....and he did just stick SEAL'S song in the end credits right after U2's song.....that he obviously stuck in the end credits too....lol....RIP JOEL.....
