I was introduced to Throne of Glass in HS enjoying it as a cute YA story, and then it turned into smut in book 3 or so. I assume it was a publisher decision and not her own, but it put a poor taste in my mouth for her work 😢

I’m wondering if I can just read the crossover chapters? I heard there’s one romance in the second book that is good. Rhun. But like it’s not enough to make me like the book. I’m on page 250 and I quit! I’m just curious as to why it’s so bad? It’s not even the plot, maybe the plot would be good except the way she writes it? She tells you things and doesn’t show you. And then the descriptors when she does describe things - are very lazy. And don’t even get me started on the spice🫠. It’s really corny. Like a gym? I’ve got no problem with you, but it was how it was done was just so lazy and it wasn’t even sexy. It was gross and raunchy.

Well, even my local bookshop (about 200 meters from the European river that is named after her, or vice versa) had a clutch of fans sitting in front of the door at januari 30th. I bought the novel electronic last Sunday and Wednesday I finished it. Good, but not as full of biting humor as the first 2 installments, but the end, I loved it.
