Scouse is a stew with potatoes, carrots and whatever scraps of meat, mutton/lamb back when people had to feed big family with very little. Sailors from all over Europe would come through the city so leaving trances of their culture. Scousers of the world united

It’s taken from the word Lobscouse (Scandinavian) which is the same dish. In my city not far from Liverpool we call it a Lobby which is taken from the same word but it’s the same dish.
