When I was a kid, I rigged up the stereo system in my bedroom in the basement and hung speakers on each side of the bed. I would play this Montrose album until I wore out the grooves and had to buy another one. This is one of the albums that made me want to play Electric guitar. Oddly enough, the drummer in my first real band was a male stripper and I loaned him a Fender Mustang guitar that he used on stage to strip with to Rock Candy. He had more women than he knew what to do with so the rest of us got a lot of good leftovers. Thanks so much Kelly for showing us the song. A half hour later, you want another. Thanks again my friend.

Yea I remember well, as I also played that annum right out …lol..seen them in Duluth with them opening for Foghat and Black Oak Arkansas …Montrose blew them both out the water , I’ll never forget them starting with space station #5 …they played La Grange threw the PA Before they went in SS#5 …everybody’s heads were rockin then they kick it again…totally awesome…

The first Montrose album had a powerful and lasting impression on me. Ronnie's instrumental solo album The Speed of Sound is also impressibe. I noticed that the main riff uses similar notes as in Hair of the Dog. I didn't know that Ronnie died in such a tragic way. Sorry to hear that. Thanks Kelly for your comments in your tutorials. I find them informative. I also like your teaching style.

Mr k . your forgot HIS PROJECT ONE GREAT underrated band GAMMA I MET RONNIE IN MY HOMETOWN SACRAMENTO CA.AFTER HE CAME TO OUR HOUSE HELPS SET UP THIS MONSTER PA SYSTEM SO YEARS LATER HE HELPS MY BUD'S BAND CITY KIDD THAT HE SAID DICH THE NAME FRANK HANNON COMES UP WITH TESLA. Ronnie and I became friends he called me about four in the morning witch we were just getting home from opening for ENUF z nuff Ronnie was very much distressed he had some music misshapes well I did as well Ronnie Montrose was my inspiration favorite guitar player who played with van Morrison, Edgar winter so he broke the news gamma had broke up I was very happy to get a shot to get a xguitar player to help Ronnie get a new record cut n roll the cash out Ronnie was such a great man songwriter AND his style sound was so ahead of time I got to play bass after gamma broke up in a few clubs by San Francisco I was deeply saddened to find out of his passing his music 🎼 lives on his amazing sound ,great one of a kind riffs solos songs that would pump me up AND still inspires me to this very day yes I really do miss that guy who's music will never die MONTROSE FOREVER rest peacefully brother ronnie.in our heart's always so crank his music next time you get a chance.thanks people rock on ..stay safe 😮!!!!!
