My Boss told me the other day that she wanted me to take my time bc she didn’t want me to burn out....So she went on vacation bc her birthday is Today!!!!! ( Happy Bday Ms.Boss lady) Anywho you know when the “BOSS” is a way the kids will play 😳....I come to work today and get hit with 8 rooms and didn’t start until after 10 bc supplies wasn’t ready....Anywho I start the rooms and then was asked if I could have the rooms done by 2pm 🤦🏽‍♀️....Now Im cool with the task but if I STARTED late and each room is 30 mins then that would mean what???? 8 rooms per half hour makes 4 hours of cleaning minus the 30 min lunch break Meaning if I started by 10-10:30 would mean I should be done by 3pm, minus the running back & forth to the laundry room 😂....What Im basically tryna say is TRICKS are for kids and I’m very GROWN....Then to add insult to injury after the little spit spat everyone is crowding the over- seer as if I was gonna harm her which made me alert to the undercurrents of her attempting to be funny (And I’m like I’m not even thinking about this girl) I’m hearing things like: Oh she’s the best Folks coming in to criticize my work and approve Hers and the crazy part was she was in the laundry room all day....I over hear the big girl whispering saying “I’m so fake” 😳 but wait hunn I don’t know you...Everybody coughing and trying to record me and this all happens when the BOSS is on vacation so I’m ready and equipped for tomorrow Meaning just give me my assignment and don’t talk to me PERIODT bc I’m friendly on the clock but I can always act like I’m off the clock when I’m on the clock by ignoring the Sh!t out of people...They all need “Cough drops and HaHa UPS lessons at this point” bc they need to pick up their feelings about me and leave them at the door bc today was mad funny especially when I saw the “Pink” nail polish even after I ignore their “Army fatigue” and Wu-tang clan music 🤦🏽‍♀️....Little do they know Im here to do my job NOT to be FUCKED with but I’ll But that for “2” dollars with all PUN intended GOT DAMN HATERS 💋

Girl, I went through something really similar lol I was going through financial struggles after my mother's death and was getting late at class because I was taking rides from a friend. I didn't have money for transportation, so I depended on his own schedule and ours didn't quite meet. after some recurrent late arruvals, a teacher pressured me in from of the whole class to say what was going on and when I said "I will tell you guys, it's been hard becau-" "I DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE AND I BET ANYONE HERE WANTS TO EITHER" he replied. It was a very personal matter. He just wanted me to apologise and lower my head about the situation. (why he asked??) I felt really offended, I said "okay. If my life doesn't matter here, then I quit." I packed my things in front of everyone and took away my membership on the spot. He basically placed me as someone unworthy of HUMAN consideration. Everybody knew my mom had died - and my father had passed away 3 years prior . I was in a hardship, they knew I was an orphan (I'm 22 btw, this happened last year) but all that was just an "excuse" for them. Crazy. I don't regret.

I've had some terrrrrible work experiences too, especially in the food/hospitality industry. I remember at my first job, I was working at an all white restaurant in a small, snooty middle class city and all the employees knew each other from high school and it was really clique-y. I instantly felt out of place and they made it well known that I was the outsider. I had a female manager who acted just like Samantha and she was terrible. One day, it was really slow for hours and all the hostesses were in the front and you know, as girls, they started talking about their crushes and love lives or whatever. And I casually joined in, trying to fit in- not mentioning anything TMI or even PG-13. Just girling and whatnot. There was about 3-4 of us on and engaged in the conversation. Well, later that day, I got called to the office because apparently one of those girls claimed I was talking inappropriately and it made her feel "uncomfortable" and they wrote me up for sexual harassment!! And when I tried to explain to my bosses what had happened, they basically cut me off and said all the other girls backed up the story!! They didn't fire me though, only wrote me up. So as I was returning to the host stand, they were all giggling and probably just getting done joking about the situation. When they finally spotted me, one of the girls said- "Oh. They didn't fire you?" Needless to say, I quit shortly after. I actually tried to put my 2 weeks in and one of my managers was just like- "No need. You can just go." Worst experience ever.

To be a manager you should have more "people skills" than the people you are supervising. This is how you effectively communicate and solve conflicts. We need to start interviewing the interviewers when you go in to these jobs to decide if they are a right fit for us.

She has a heart infection called myocarditis. The blood thinners and other medications have made her lethargic and she's on disability now and not working. It's rare and doctors don't know much about it which sucks for her bc she's obviously scared. I think her radiation weakened her immune system...hence random heart infection. Sadly chemo has a lot of unexpected after effects.
