The mechanics seem to feel so thematic and match the natural behaviors so well. And the art looks gorgeous. Thank you for the helpful review, I am afraid due to the heavy bluffing component it is unfortunately not for me. But I hope the game gets lots of love from players who enjoy this type of game.

What do u mean when u save heavy bluffing. I’m new to big board games
@sonjamuller9397 Жыл бұрын
@@sphinx9517 I just mean the social interaction component that you have to bluff about what you are doing in order to win, like deceiving the opponent. Sorry i can't explain well.
@ShadowParalyzer Жыл бұрын
@@sonjamuller9397 I don't think the bluffing is necessarily a social component in this game. The bluffing seems to be related to swapping the blocks around. So the Shark would be like: Hmm... did the octopus get swapped? Or did he swap a trap instead? Or maybe none of the above and the octopus is just messing with me. You, the player, don't have to verbally say anything to your opponent.

Why did a friend have to ask me what I knew about this game and 'make' me find out?!?!? This sounds cool, unfortunately I don't 'need' more games and our 2 player only games don't get a ton of play. When hearing about this game, my mind automatically goes to Raptor... solely because it's a 2p head to head asymmetrical game involving animals. Very different and the asymmetry seems very thematic to the animals (especially the octopus being in learning/problem solving mode). Thanks for the video!

Hi, thank you for sharng with us about cons and prons about this asimetric games. I feel that it really helps me to find out if this game would be good for me or not:) The issue of the small number of cards used to build the dek for the octopus is worrying, but I like the double bluff.

The game has some awesome artwork ! In terms of game design, it reminds me of “Pagan: Fate of Roanoke”. How would you compare those two ? Which one would you rate higher ? (Ie “play this, not that…” - I have the feeling I won’t need Kelp AND Pagan, so which one should I go for ?)
@Jonaelize Жыл бұрын
I have played both. Kelp only on TTS. In my opinion Kelp plays faster and is simpler. Pagan has probably more replayability with more cards and scenarios, but an entrance barrier since you need to build your deck first. It also plays longer. Both have nice themes, although I find Kelp's theme more unique.

@@Jonaelize Thanks, very helpful. So it might be worthwhile getting both after all…

I like the art style! I don't know if it was intentional, but it's actually spelled "Asymmetric". One S, Two M. I struggle with that word.

Did they get rid of the abilities on the flinch, fight, flight cards in the final product?

So, what did the prototype have in the box to represent the shark? Just wondering, as it seems like a needed component. At least include a block with shark art. Good thing you have Lego figs.
@wonderbowgames Жыл бұрын
we included the Lego shark in the prototype :) the final game will have a Shark mini

I think every prototype review has had the LEGO shark, so I think they included it in the prototype copy.

Agreed. When you see a game like The White Castle and all it components for about 30 bucks.. yeah, this should have been in the 25-30 usd price range. Right now it’s just too pricey.
