​@@ave7949 anarchism is a governing style without vertical hierarchies. Vertical heirachies are basically power imbalances between people, which includes CEOs, Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Politicians. Note how many of these are positions given to people in centralized governments. A centralized government often perpetuates violence against poor citizens. Here's an example: one poor citizen works and lives paycheck-to-paycheck. This is very real, the minimum wage is often not enough to live on. If this person gets injured, then they cannot pay for both medical bills and food. They go into debt and cannot eat, they cannot live. Because of the vertical heirarchy of "boss" and "employee", the boss can live while the employee doesn't (This is indirect violence). A centralized Government also perpetuates violence against minorities, especially people of color, through the police (This is direct violence). Because of this violence, both direct and indirect, that is an intrinsic part of the system, anarchists want the system to be abolished, and to form more horisontal heirarchies. On a political compass, it is very far down and to the left. This is just a brief review of anarchism. If you want to learn more, I recommend watching Thought Slime or NonCompete on youtube.

*College Advice:* 1.) Get a bike. You're going to need it to travel between each class. Plus, it's important to stay fit in general (physically and mentally). 2.) You're going to have absolute freedom on campus. Balance your schedule between homework and social/non-social life. 3.) Don't worry about what other people think of you. Everyone's into their own thing, and nobody gives a crap about who you are, or what you did in high school. 4.) Get acquainted with your educators. If things are too challenging, be sure to ask them for advice. That's their job. 5.) Partake in student activities, clubs, and events that are to your interest. I guarantee you'll meet a lot of people who will have the same tastes as you. 6.) Give yourself time to breathe when things get too overwhelming. Go to your local college town shops, explore the campus, see a counselor, see a movie, get breakfast-lunch-dinner, etc. 7.) Decorate your room so it doesn't feel so empty. 8.) Get plenty of naps if you feel exhausted/tired. Sleep is healthy for a fully functioning brain. 9.) Stay disciplined. It is college after all. 10.) Be sure to pay off your student tuition early after each quarter/semester. Until tuition-free colleges and universities are implemented, you may have to find a job, or ask your parents to pay them off (if they're able to). 11.) Budget your finances. Depending on your purchases, money slips away before you even know it. 12.) Make this experience your own. Have fun! Explore new topics! Find your center! Branch out, and discover what makes you, you. That's what college is all about. I don't know if you need this since you're already in college, but I decided to pass it along just in case. I hope this is at least helpful.

Whenever I was 10 my dad remarried and we moved into my stepmoms house and she used to live in Alaska and she had this big buffalo head hanging in my room over my bed the first week while we were moving in. I had some pretty strange dreams that week 😂

When I moved out (at 19 years old) I moved into this duplex type house with my 2 dogs. (Its college style house so there's only one bathroom that I had to share with my 'neighbor'. It locked on both sides so he couldnt get intothe bathroom when I was in it and he couldnt get into my side. There was another door that lead to his side that only locked from my side so if I cared enough I could go on his side) the first couple weeks were ok but then he started getting crazy. Hitting the walls right by my bed at 3 am and yelling and being agressive. Probably from crack the drug dealers next door gave him. (They cause no harm and are actually nice. They pull my trash can up to the street when I forget) I called the police like 12 times that month but they wouldnt and couldnt do anything and the landlord was on my side but needed a good reason to evict him. There was one instance I came home on My break during a tornado watch/warning to find glass from his front door all over the porch, trashcan tipped over in the drive way, my porch table on the ground tipped off the elevated porch. He blamed it on the tornado but i knew it was him. He said something crashed through the glass on his door and INTO his house but if that were the case the glass would be inside his house and not spread on the porch and stairs ( I grew up watching crime shows youre gonna have to try harder dude) My landlord understood and tried to evict but it didnt work (shes new to the landlord stuff) but the next day she came and looked at the damage and installed a AC unit to only my side. At this point she told me he put holes in the wall. That night he was tweaking and didnt have money for food and yelled 'I am so fucking hungry I am going to kill someone and eat their god damned brain' and he threw a fit and mentioned that my landlord didnt give him an AC unit. I recorded him saying that and call the police. No dice. The next night i go to work and come home at 6 am to find my AC torn from my very open window. I dont hear the dogs barking and think the worst. I know exactly who did it so I didnt go into my side of the house. I immediately pounded on his door. I was tired of the cops not doing anything. so I had enough. Ive called police at 3 am upset and trying not to make a sound so he would hear me and barge through. My dogs and I have shivered in fear while he yelled on the other side of the walls. My landlord has consoled me through the phone, hugged me as I cried. (She was a family friend btw) So I knocked on his door ready to throw down in the front yard but he didnt answer so I go back in my car and call the cops and my landlord they get there and tell me they arrested him last night at 11pm. 1 hour after I left! My dogs were gone all night. The cops told me there were no signs of forced entry. (They didnt go in) and Im arguing with him because theres no way for him to unplug the unit from outside the house. It was plugged i on the same wall 6 feet away. So the landlord talks to him and I leave in anger and look for my dogs all over town. I found Bella 2 miles away by walmart and Winky never left the yard so my collage age neighbor had him at his house. I get back like 3 hours later and find my door unlocked (I still hadn't been inside and neither had the police) my door frame in SPLINTERS. 'NO SIGN OF FORCED ENTRY' MY ASS. I called back the same officer and showed him and he said "oh heres a new case number then" he leaves and I finally go to sleep only to be woken up 2 hours later to a knock on my door. The guy said that my neighbor told him id co sign on his bail. EXCUSE ME. I not so kindly turned him away but i guess someone co signed because HE WAS BACK THAT NIGHT. finally after that the landlord evicted him (he asked for all the money he paid for rent back) I got a restraining order and I havent seen him since. Now I rented out the other side of the house so no one can bug me (the landlord cut me a awesome deal. 550 a month utilities included.) It was the worst expiriance ive ever had.

i moved to student dorms at another city at 16 and moved to an apartment fully on my own three days after i turned 18. i had actually already reserved this apartment back when i was 16 and my dad helped me to fill the papers. we were already planning how tf to get me fully on my own 2 years before it was legally possible. 😂 (the waiting times to these apartments are pretty long cuz they’re city owned, cheap, the rent includes water, electricity and free internet, and they are in great shape and every apartment has their own private sauna, and in the middle of the city and everything is walking distance away, so we planned ahead.)

I moved out at 17. . . right next door. . . with my great grandmother. . . lol but my parents and I have a great relationship. I walk in their house and my dad is like, "Who the f*ck are you? You don't live here. Come to steal more of my God dAMN FOOD!?" 😂 I live with Nana since our husky got attacked by the neighbor's dog, and then Nana was fostering my niece and nephew, and then she had a brain swelling incident over Christmas, so I just decided to stay. I think my mom started to miss me, because she kept asking "When are you going to move back in?" And I just told her I like my big bed and private bathroom. Nana has always preferred to sleep on the couch because she has a hard time sleeping in the bed??? So I have the master bedroom and it's great lol

College pro (I graduated at least) tips: Google your textbooks name with "PDF" at the end and you can download a lot of them (def don't pirate them tho lol) and save a ton of money Look at the points breakdown for your classes at the beginning, some classes only have HW count as like 10% of your grade so it's better to focus on exams/projects/papers instead A lot of professors are lazy as hell and lecture straight out of the book so (if they don't grade on attendance) you can skip and do HW instead (or sleep like I did) C's get degrees (depending on your school), if you don't want to go to grad school don't stress about your GPA too badly

My story of moving out: I lived in Lake George Colorado for two years after high school to help my parents run their business and I have nothing to really show for it, and they can't help me with paying for college whatsoever. I leave the small town in Colorado to drive to Georgia with my new girlfriend/best friend attending SCAD. I try for two years to get in too for animation and I lack the funds, all the while growing so close to her and her family that I was legitimately working out plans to fly us to Kyoto so I could ask her to marry me. I joined the Army to make college happen, she's now a senior, I'm older than her by about two years (so I'm 22 by now with only two GSU credits), and after I come back from basic and enter a 7 month long AIT, she breaks up with me to be with a classmate in college. The knock back was severe enough that the therapist I talked to during AIT said that while he can't diagnose me professionally, I almost certainly developed a minor case of PTSD from the situation based on my reactions over the next half year, and I'm still struggling with it today. Now I'm in SCAD taking classes, I don't know anyone, I have one roommate from basic, I still have my old crappy pizza job, and I'm going to be held back ANOTHER year because my unit will be mobilizing in the future. I'm not going to finish my freshman year of college until I'm 24. I will graduate by age 28 if I'm lucky. I'm happy for my ex and I hope she's happy with her new boyfriend and all, and I'm glad that she's able to graduate at 21 years old and enter the industry. I'm not envious, honestly, but I am unfathomably depressed and upset at my situation. However. I'm the most dedicated student I know, and the experiences I've had are pushing my art and work ethic to levels I couldn't have dreamed of. I'm leaving this comment because I know moving out can be tough and I know the world is a terrifying place sometimes. Even still, I want to share the idea that it's important to hold onto the dreams that make you happy. Not the dreams that make your romantic partner happy; you need to love yourself before them and let them be inspired by you, and vice versa. Continue attending your classes, hang in there, and know that putting forth your best effort and showing genuine kindness and lacking envy or other ugly emotions is ultimately the key to being satisfied with whatever outcome happens. Stay motivated and don't be afraid of being in a weird area after moving out. Lots of people are in situations way worse than mine; I'm lucky that I can even go to college. I'm grateful, and I want to use my work to inspire other people to find their own passions too. That's why I'm sharing this story of how I moved out and what it's been like as an animation student for me so far. Shit happens, but if you stay true to yourself and let your heart guide your passions into a career you can love and develop every day, be it art, music, cooking, or whatever else makes you happy, then you will be a magnet for new friends to come to. I got kicked out at 15 and had to learn how to make it work reaaaal fast and it sucked a lot. I sometimes wonder what it would have been like to choose to move out. It's definitely nerve wracking leaving home for the first time regardless of the circumstances but I bet it's a lot more exciting when you have a choice in it.

I graduated HS just this past June, & moved out of my parents place too. It was kind of a big move since I moved from Maryland allll the way down to South Carolina, but I made it in one piece. It's been nice, I get to live in a nice cottage on this huge plot of land that belongs to my family. Honestly, I'm never lonely since I talk to all of my friends on discord, but I also was really lucky because I've been wanting to get a bird for a SUPER long time. When I moved down, my grandmother sadly passed, but she left behind a really nice big birdcage & I was even luckier because a trusted breeder that was like.... 30 mins away?? He had a few baby cockatiels for sale, and that's how I got Kirsche, my cockatiel. IDK if birds would really work for you since they're almost harder to take care of than a cat, or a dog... But they make the BEST company!! They aren't very expensive food and toy wise after you initially buy them. The first cost is expensive though, cages can cost up to 200 dollars, the bird itself varies, but a lot of birds cost around 200 - 300. It was totally another stroke of luck for me because I already had a cage, & Kirsche himself was 75 dollars because the breeder raised them more so for fun, rather than money, in his retirement. I maybe spent 120 dollars initially to get him. I would completely recommend a bird for a pet if you're holding back because of money reasons!

oh worm I moved into a dorm just like a month ago and it's hell. I know no one, it's A Lot Harder than I thought, I'm always stressed out like 99% of the time and trying to catch up on things, going to career fairs is hell especially when it's required by one of your classes, and just...UgggHHhHHH I don't even have a boyfriend or anything like you do to talk to so I'm just,,, always isolated,,, and alone,,, yay :')

When I first moved out I was 18, had a girlfriend I was very serious with and had my first serious full-time job. My best friend's roommate got arrested for reasons I'm not gonna explain. What is important that my best friend couldn't afford to live alone so I moved in. I learned that some people just really struggle to clean, I was the only one with a job making money consistently to pay for things like bills, utilities, and food. The two living off my dime could not figure out how to keep the house clean. My best friend had a dog that constantly shit on the flood, the carpets were unrecoverable. The Dishes were always dirty and we had a roach problem. After a little over a year, I was out of money, tired and told by my friend the landlord of evicting us to sell the house to a bank. I was so happy. I moved back in with my parents while I figured out my next step, which is when my mother said I should go to college and that she'd let me live with her as long as I was in college. Now it's been almost four-ish years, Got my Associates in General Studies, Working on another associate in Computer Science before I move on to a Bachelors's degree in programming. I also lost the girlfriend, dated a bunch, got my heart broken, attempted suicide, and now got a new girlfriend and looking forward to finishing my novel. So yeah I guess what was supposed to be my story of moving out turned into a summary of my life story since I became an adult.

One of our family friends is a cop and he says if you’re driving and you’re being followed, run stop lights/stop signs so you get pulled over. You can explain the situation to the cop and they’ll probably let you go. Even if they don’t believe you, it’s better to have a fine than to be murdered.
