Maybe build a shed on the sides of your house to store bulky items such as the bikes, lawn mower etc?
@marilynbates593911 ай бұрын
Consider building a bike shed that could double as garden storage. Window boxes would be cute and would disguise its utility functions.!

Since you're so handy, you can make a wood sports equipment holder, whatever these are called. I've seen the balls being held in by bungee cords, and they run from floor to ceiling if you need it for that many balls. I don't know how I ran across your videos so long ago, but I have really enjoyed them. 😅

Glidden has fabulous porch & floor paint, if you plan to do the floor. I used it for my garage 4 years ago and it still look great.

In my mind painting includes at least 75% prep work/clean-up and 25% actual painting. But it's instant gratification. I prefer a bright garage. Lighter paint and good illumination helps me maintain productivity. (Plus I have old eyes.) I hope to be moving by Spring. The first areas to be painted will be the basement and unfinished areas of the basement. Bright White everywhere then storage added. No personal items on-site until that is finished. It just makes sense. Otherwise those ptojects become twice as challenging and often never occur. (One house I am considering has an attached 2 car garage, detached 3 car garage and a basement! My mind is swimming with ideas!) This video is very inspirational. Thx Kelsey!

I think you could encase the fridge with a cabinet surround for even more storage and prettiness. Definitely paint the floor or spruce it up a bit and maybe do the back door in the grey? Or paint it that lighter green like the garage door! All that said-this looks AMAZING. I can’t wait to do this type of cabinet in my new garage (and add drywall 😂)
@kathygann76328 ай бұрын
You could have paid for the smallest can of paint, and had them add color so when you poured it into your left over paint, it would have been the color you wanted. I also like to have something hang from the ceiling to show me how far to drive my car in to park. You could have placed the extension cords on the ceiling for that purpose. Also, I have bike hangers that use pullers to hold the bicycles up near the ceiling so I can park the bikes under them. I have a minute garage!

I love LED lights in the garage and the retractable cord. We have ours next to our air compressor. The only thing I wish I had was a sander connected to my air compressor 😢 I borrowed one, and wow, what a huge difference in projects.

Hi. Love your channel. Maybe paint the garage floor and storage over the fridge. I think the garage looks amazing. You are a very hard working, talented lady!!!!!

It's looking really good! I like the paint color, nice choice; It goes good with the back door. Suggestion - what about a couple of panels to disguise the hot water heater. Can make them removable for any service that may be needed or a couple of hinged doors. Would finish off that corner and a place to hang or display any additional items.

I think the cabinets had a good amount of contrast once they dried. If I were to change anything I’d just have the bikes leaned up against the wall. They are taking up just as much space width wise but up on the hook they probably stick out more. Getting them on that hook is much more difficult than just rolling in a leaning it against the wall. And if your kids are anything like mine were, putting a bike on the hook just ain’t gonna happen. Lol It’s coming along so well! Your pegboard tool wall is my inspiration for my upcoming garage redo! Can’t wait to see the finished product.

🤣🤣 my kids would never hang up their bikes. The hanging ones belong to me and my husband. The kids just roll theirs right behind ours.

You are doing a great job. We start our garage makeover this spring. Although I am dreading all the work it will be worth it in the end as I am sure you can relate. You keep saying it is just a garage but if you think about how much traffic a garage gets it is an important part of your beautiful home. Love your videos
