Cool option for the money! Would be great on a mid sized cruiser for sure.

Right! It may not be for everyone but for the bones not a bad option for something that can be put on and off easily. I appreciate you watching my friend!

Nice video! I'm new to cruisers and I thought you're supposed to install generic "frames" of sorts (one on each side) to the bike that keeps the bags more or less vertical and prevents them from hitting the frame, wheel, chain, etc?

These are a quick bag when you need them or leave them. The ridge style bags that are direct fits to the bike will help protect the bike more. Just depends on the style you are looking for. I appreciate you watching and the support!

@@freebirdsgarage I just ordered a set of these for my new to me VTX 1800! Do you have any ideas for locking/securing the straps if I need to leave the bike unattended for a short time (shopping, restaurant, etc)? I wouldn't be against making small holes and using one or two small padlocks if it could be done somewhat tastefully.

I just discovered some really neat motion alarms that would be perfect for preventing saddlebag intrusion by thiefs. They're called PADONOW 115db wireless alarms on Amazon and they can be remotely armed and disarmed with the touch of a button. By attaching an alarm to the inside lid of each bag, it would go off as soon as the bag is disturbed or the lid opened. At 40 bucks for two of them it seems like a good deal. The last thing a crook wants to do is to draw attention to himself when he's "on the job", and based on the customer reviews, the sound level is quite high and should send the thief running for cover. This makes more sense to me than a lock for a number of reasons.

Cool looking bags. I definitely would prefer a more ridged setup so they hold shape. A buddy back in high school had bags that mounted that same way but they were soft and always collapsed. 🤘🏻

I agree with on the ridge way better but for the price on these being on the less expensive out there, not to bad for holding shape. I appreciate the support my friend as always! 👊🏼

I think you have them backwards
@freebirdsgarage5 ай бұрын
You can position them either way

They are backwards, and no, they do not face either way in your replys, when you have them faced the way they are, they catch the air and can flop unnecessarily (I make custom saddlebag for a living)

Go their website amzn.to/3yH3ge4. They have them pictured this way, it's universal. I've never had these flop around.

@freebirdsgarage in the website, they actually aren't on the bike, they have been photoshopped in front of it, they guy photoshopping was not a bike guy, they are backwards

Do they make bags like this that attach to quick detach hardware? I really can't stand having the crossover flapto hold them up and they never look semetrical or quite right and looking at that crossover strap kills me. Im looking for bags for a 2024 Breakout 117 that look right and quick detach.
