Kemper profiling amplifier LIVE on stage, The Amp factory Cornfeld Car profile, soundcheck jam

Short jam with my Kemper, TAF Cornfeld Car (Cornford Carrera) profile. Really great profiles for both live and studio use...
The recording was made with a smartphone, so its not really a high quality audio, but these profiles absolutely sound great live...

Even though the clip is tough to hear well, I immediately gravitated towards it, after listening to it a dozen times or so. it dawned on me why I thought it sounded so great!!@ it sounds just like my Splawn Quick Rod.

Never had a chance to try any Splawn lol but im sure they are amazing amps. Kemper is a great piece of gear, no question about it. Tnx for the comment!

I have a splawn. The Kemper sounds like a good recording of a splawn quickrod. But not like the live amp itself. The audience probably likes it better that way, as it won’t knock over their drinks. Haha.

@@gtrkev2 yes, there is nothing like the percussive thwack to the gut that the QR gives you. Pure punch, nowhere to hide, IMPOSSIBLE to not be heard through a mix.

+MrTanza14 To be perfectly honest i would go Kemper way... The ease of use, the thousand options and profiles u can use, its stress free on the stage (plug and play), no miking, no unecessary noise on the stage. But after all its all about your personal preference, but u wont make a mistake with Kemper... :)

+Mark Shrader Straight to PA, with in ear monitors for me... :) Not the best feel but makes things really simple... :)

Im 100% sure about getting the Kemper. As a regular gigging guitarist myself, this looks perfect for my needs. I would most likely use FRFR speakers for my monitor onstage and Balanced outs to the PA. But I heard using the monitor out automatically disabled the Cab emulators.... two questions: Does this only apply to monitor out and keep the balanced outs with Cab simulator on and can I chose to have Cab simulator through monitor out as its a FRFR speaker i'll be using....... fantastic playing btw, the Kemper sounds so good.. Cheers!

Tnx man! U cant go wrong with Kemper! If u ask me the best way to connect as far as i know is one main out (with cab simulation) direct to PA and other in ur FRFR... As far as i know monitor out DOES disable cab simulation so u wont get usable sound lol :)

Wow!!.... thanks very much for your quick reply!... really appreciate it....Thats a shame... I wish there was an option to still use the Cabs in this situation if you needed... I would want to be monitoring exactly what the audience was getting through FOH sound

Well to be perfectly honest i never tried it with external cab, maybe u should ask someone who did on Kemper forum or Kemper User Facebook group... Lots of helpful tips there :)

Thanks again Krstovic... I'm still convinced to get one.... Im using a Boss GT100 at the moment, though its a very nice piece of kit for live use, its dont quite cut it as a real tube amp... Im sure i'll figure a way to make the Kemper useful for my needs..... again, really appreciate the kind reply :)
