I'm happy with how this turned out in the end. Having to record every instrument through a microphone was challenging, especially trying to get a good bass hit off of an acoustic bass guitar and proper reverb to the clapping, but I think it worked out well in the end. I had a lot of fun making it so really that's what matters.

Actually. *adjust glasses* If you're trying for the image of something like a D&D bard, then it would be in the A.D.'s, s since the medieval and renaissance era's were both post-Roman empire. Because if we go by the traditional definition of the contraction of BC, then that's Before Christ and Jesus was a Roman citizen. He executed sometime around 30AD (admittedly I would need to double check that number but you should get the idea (also, he wasn't born on 1AD, but something like 8 AD or something, again checking numbers but still getting ideas across)). The usual depiction of D&D settings are something like the medieval times in Europe. Though yeah. A bard in medieval Europe singing and shredding his lute playing Rules of Nature would still be waaaay ahead of his time.
