FIRST START FOR THE HOONIPIGASUS! Ken Block teamed up with Mobil 1 to create the wildest, carbon fiber-iest, all wheel driving-iest, and pink-est Porsche 911 to race up Pikes Peak for this year’s International Hill Climb competition, but a creature as mythical as the Hoonipigasus you can’t just plug and play. The fine folks from @BBIAutosport need to tune, wrench, and calibrate all the beep boops while Ken logs some seat time. It’s not a Porsche GT3 RS, it's not a Porsche 911 Turbo, it's a methanol smashing AWD MID ENGINE TWIN TURBO 4 LITER PORSCHE FLYING PIG HORSE. This thing was built from the ground up and has a lot of catching up to do to be competitive before Pikes Peak in two weeks, let’s get to work. If you wanna hear a 1400hp Porsche come to life, hit play!
Thanks to our sponsors for making the Hoonipigasus a reality!

to be fair, it's not really a new car for ken, he uses the same exact 4 wheel drive train in all his cars, so there is very little that changes in regards to feel, unless you get down to tyre differences and engine power depending on tuning. imagine you have an RC car and all you do is change the shell on the top so it looks different.. that's ken's life. if that car had remained as lets say an original rear wheel drive porsche then i would agree with you as that would not be what he drives all the time and he would have to "learn a new car".
@dead_redux

@@ribbitism You have no idea what you're talking about and its hilarious. For starters the Porsche is mid engine and the Hoonicorn was obviously front engine. Also vastly different wheelbases. I cant find a lot of specs on the Porsche because its so new, but they are VERY different cars. Just because they are both all wheel drive, doesn't mean they are the same car. Indycars use the same everything and teams win based off just setup of the car alone. Also they don't have this car setup yet let alone dialed in and ken feeling comfortable in it.

I know this isn’t news, but DAMN Ken can drive. I can’t imagine a car going into snap oversteer and running into sand at 120mph at near full lock and still controlling it. That’s just absurd.

He's one of the best drivers to ever live as someone who is the biggest fan of racing who also races I do not say it lightly either 😀 I totally agree! No matter what he drives he completely is able to dominate it no matter what beast is made, although I didn't like the look of the car as in the color. But the car is amazing 100% is yet another pure beast from them 😀 would be such a pleasure to build a car for them! And to see it in action adds to how mind boggling that must be. I hope you're well whoever an wherever you are from!

@@joshjacobjonesjoshjacobjon2899 "one of the best drivers". Dont get me wrong, he is pretty good and he surely is better than I will ever be. But there are MANY better drivers in not only the rally world, but the entire thing of motorsport as a whole. I will try to list the "best" drivers from the top of my head without proper order to put into perspective of how far he is from the best of the best. Stig Blomqvist - WRC GB/A 1980s Michelle Mouton - WRC GB/A 1980s Walter Röhrl - WRC GB/A 1980s Carlos Sainz Sr. - WRC GA 1990s Richard Burns - WRC 2000cc/GA 1990s Colin McRae - WRC 2000cc/GA 2000s Hannu Mikkola - WRC GB/A 1980s Alain Prost - F1 1980s Ayrton Senna - F1 1980s Micheal Schumacher - F1 2000s Mika Haikkinen - F1 1990s Niki Lauda - F1 1970s Lewis Hamilton - F1 2010s Jackie Stewart - F1 1960s Attilio Bettega - WRC GB 1980s Ari Vatanen - WRC BG 1980s Timo Salonen - WRC GB 1980s Juha Kankunnen - WR GB 1980s Sebastian Vettel - F1 2010s Graham Hill - Only Triple Crown Holder Fernando Alonzo - F1 2000s Max Verstappen - F1 2020s (he has the skills, but not much of the "experience") James Hunt - F1 1970s Juan-Manuel Fangio - F1 1950s Bruce McLaren - F1, LeMans 1960s Kimi Raikkonen - F1, WRC, NASCAR 2000s Dale Earnhardt Sr. - NASCAR 1990s (yes, NASCAR takes WAAAY more skill than you think) Dale Earnhardt Jr. - NASCAR 2000s Tom Kristensen - Le Mans Champion Ken Miles - 1960s DT500 Le Mans 24h Bernd Schneider - 1980s DTM Klaus Ludwig - 1980s DTM Rene Rast - 2010s DTM Jim Cark - F1 1960s Sebastian Loeb - WRC 2000s and the list goes on and on and on. All these people are people I would put WAAAY before Ken Block. Like I said, he is *Good*, but no where near the best. (before you complain, this only took me 6 minutes to name everyone from the top of my head.)

Such an awesome video! In my humble opinion from a random guy on the internet, I think that the car is awesome and great but with such little time before the event, I feel that ken block might not be the right driver, while he’s done rally and been to pikes peak before for climbkhana. The competitive level at pikes peak is really high, I feel that although ken block is an amazing driver, he can’t compete with other drivers who have been testing there car for much longer and also have previous experience RACING at pikes peak. My opinion, but I’d love to see ken block drive or even podium
