Ken Dodd was the paragon of the all-around entertainer, the last of a now extinct breed from a bygone era. His comedy timing, his lovely signing voice, his onstage stamina, his warm and endearing personality. We shall ne'er see his like again. A light went out in Britain when he passed away. There's none to hold a candle to him in the modern era.

We were supposed to see him In Torquay but my other half was ill - we said we would see him next year but he passed away a few month later. The man was a true 'mucic hall' act. We lost one of our last great comedians! BLESS YOU SIR KEN we miss you greatly.
