People may laugh at this but EX Plus Alpha is one of my favorite SF games of all time. I absolutely loved this game as a kid back in the day and still love it now. It added a bunch of interesting, unique new characters, was fun to play, and had excellent music. EX+A was a big part of my childhood man.

Mine too. That's why when Fighting EX Layer was announced (or teased as a joke) I was flipping out. I needed that game, and lo and behold, Arika made it. So glad they did, but I'm just waiting on Fighting Layer characters to make it in next. I need to throw chairs with Exodus on Allen's head. ;)

Crump ~ Oddly enough this was the first game I could ever do the Shungoku Satsu on, lol. I had no idea how to do it for so long until I read on GameFAQs that you had to press the sequence really fast and then *BOOM* I did it. Then it did it with Skullomania, Sakura, Evil Ryu, and Kairi and had so much fun. ;)

While they intentionally didn't confirm the specifics as to which character would fill which slot, Sharon has to be the March character. Then in May, it just is logical for Area to be the free one while Terry is paid DLC since he's a guest character.

Both Ryu and Ken use that animation. It's from Street Fighter The Movie The Anime. In EX2, Ken goes back to the standard Tatsu, while Ryu keeps the new one.

Under Tube (Doctrine Dark's theme), Cold Pipe (Zangief's theme), Guardian of Light (Ken's theme), Strange Sunset (Guile / Allen Snider's theme) Stronger (Garuda / Evil Ryu's theme), and Future Objects (Cycloid Beta / Gamma theme) are my favorite themes of all time. This game has some of the most iconic music in a fighting game period and I'm glad Arika brought back a lot of the music into Fighting EX Layer. :)

Fun fact: The LK Tatsu IS actually useful as it lifts your opponent each time you connect the kick. If you can land the first hit, rekka-ing the rest gives you some time to think while your opponent goes higher and higher along with you with every kick.

Allen Snider is the guy that Ken beat to become American Champion during the events of Street Fighter 1. Allen then copied some of Ken's moves before going to find more strong people to fight. He's also based off the younger Chuck Norris.

I would've, but they only published this and lent them the Street Fighter cast. ARIKA owns the rights. (Which is why there's no remixes of any of these songs in future SF games.) I'm glad ARIKA is still around, and it would be sick if they could collab with Capcom to make an HD collection for the series. I doubt it'll happen but it'd be nice.

The EX series are best played using a gamepad. They use mechanics best suited to high speed inputs which are best suited to pads rather than joysticks. The thumb is faster than the wrist after all. Oh... And if you want to use more than one bar, then hit two or three kick/punch buttons when doing a super. More meteors and some other effects when finishing the opponent with them. And where does the charge come from? In these games, you can buffer it during any attack's animation.

You can do level 3 by canceling the first and second super, shinryu cancel before leaving the ground with sharyurepa cancel with shinryu again and thats level 3

The move that you called focus attack called guard break in this game. You can guess why. There is Lv.3 super like Shongoku satsu Akuma or Evil Ryu and Final Atomic Buster for Zangief. And if you combined the super moves in the and of the rounds there are 3 different animantion for Lv1-2 or 3. And the throw in this game simply forward plus kick or punch

you fought evil Ryu on Garuda's stage, evil ryu was at his best in this game, some characters have level 3's in 1 shot evil ryu/zangief I think scullomania has a raging demon too, its quite hilarious when he gets you with it, it might of been ex2, I forget. Remember to COMBINE your supers at the right time for more damage, even when the round is over with a level 1ko you can still combine all 3 supers anyway without using them up on the next round [if there is 1] combine supers if you can, blue for level 1 yellow when you connect with level 2 and red for level 3. Also remember to use kens roll, [down back punch. the strongest the punch the further the roll] use it on c jack you'll have a better time throwing him and combos. no acuma battle? that could be another video of its own. :P I love it when his necklace breaks ;). This was the best handing street fighter EVER, if you REALLY get to know this game, it was easy to combo and combine supers, a true masterpiece. I don't bash the graphics since this game originally came out in 1996, [I was 16 so I guess I'm old :P] I liked cheap 3D games for its time, it really was its own era of "videogames" then ps2 everything was 3D and its been zzz ever since. a variety in games is always good.
