It left me penny less and I was left with no money ,no food. And had to move out of the flat I was living in. I ended up living with friends who could not afford to feed me as well as their children. I am recovering from my breakdown but still unable to work but still the government people who assessed me still think 8 am able to work. This government do not care about me or any other person who is sick physically or mentally. Poverty is beyond normal and is raising. This country is the 5th richest country in the world. Did Ken Loach made a mistake there? He said that 1000100 food banks parcels were handed out, it seems way to low.

The big difference here is that Ken loach has researched, been part of and spoken to ordinary people going through the benefits system and all the suffering it causes. Kwartang hasn't done any of these things because he dismisses them off hand because, like the Tory party(and the government as a whole) they have become so removed from the lives of ordinary folk. Government is a business, politicians don't go into politics to represent the people, they go into politics to represent the wealthy elites interests, consequently(and deliberately)profiteering from a corrupt system that is geared to serve a few while forcing the majority to fund it.

I know several people suffering mental illness or are physically disabled who were assessed as fit enough to work! They bitterly complained to me their incomes took a nosedive as they were all put on JSA. Naturally they also bitterly complained they had to visit the local job centre fortnightly to sign on and convince the staff members they were actively seeking employment for fear of having their JSA cut. One of them appealed and after the second attempt won. He was put back on all the benefits he was originally on backdated to the time he was assessed as fit enough to work. He got paid a fortune. Being mentally ill he couldn't cope, lost it and was sectioned in a secure mental health facility. Haven't seen hide nor hair of him since.

This dude is little more than a rhetorical dodge for his party.. I wonder where he stood whilst his peers were calling Mandela a terrorist?

Kwasi Karteng does his best to limp his way around the truth, and to be fair to him he does a pretty good job.

I started watching this a second time and soon realised why I stopped it short before. Ken Loach is a gentle man, an artist and proper hero, then as soon as the crappy tory opens his despicable gob I have to spare my bleeding soul.from the horror that he casually pollutes the world with. Absolutely shameless. That would be the perfect tagline for the tories... "Absolutely Shameless Since 1834."
