Kopech and Edman were the two best players in the Fedde trade. The Dodgers got away with robbery. I said this from the beginning and this is coming from a die hard cardinal fan.

People greatly overvalue Edman. He flat out cannot hit right handed pitching and should be a platoon player, unless your lineup can absorb a nearly automatic out against RH pitching.

​@@zoiks6631Exactly they love edman cause of his speed and his utility glove but he's literally a hole in the lineup 80% of the time because he flat out sucks against RHP. And Kopech is extremely inconsistent. So to say the Cardinals lost is wild and that's coming from a Cubs fan who would love to say those bums lost that trade 😂😂

How about this, the named starter has to at a minimum go through the complete lineup before they are replaced plus use the double hook rule. The six innings thing seems too much. Although I agree with Jason Stark in that todays game really diminishes the starting pitching, really all the pitching with the velocity at all costs game & it sucks. It's nuts how many Tommy John surgeries are being done in todays game.

If it is shown that the pitch clock is damaging pitchers arms, then the players union will insist on at the very least, some tweaks to the pitch clock rule and at the most, scrapping the pitch clock which would be what I personally would favor.

If baseball is entertainment, then isn't it on the fans who want all this max velocity and 500 ft home runs.. maybe that's the reason why teams look for this bc it's what the modern day fan wants.

Everyone keeps saying that football has the most fans and always get the highest ratings. I believe if football and baseball added up total fan viewers both in person baseball and on tv baseball would have so many more viewers that football couldn’t make the claim of “ most popular”. Just the sheer number of games gives baseball the advantage. Baseball probably has the advantage during playoffs because again more games. It would be interesting if baseball looked into this.
