Also i forgot to mention, in the beginning the jump needs to be a punish counter to get max damage anyway, I dont know anyone who would wakeup and press a heavy button while crouching.. another reason why “ this sh*t aint landing” 😂

FYI if you replace the 8HK -> 5HP at the start with Run Tatsu -> 2MP you get more damage. Both options scale the same, but yours does 1,880 on the first two hits when you can be doing 2,140 instead. After that the combo proceeds the same way though (Run Tatsu is also a viable DP punish, unlike 8HK)

@@peacedud Haha, It all varies on ur timing, but i can say when u see the meter go up slightly after the microwalk it should help u with the timing to press s.MP, while microwalking just look at ur meter as soon as u see it a tiny bit move then press s.MP

Most fighting game requires you to use a six face faced interface and to use your other fingers then just your thumb and index to do the advanced combination of butttons, stuff like for example Ken's target combo mp to hp into Drive rush to juggle into standing medium or down mp into quick dash tatsu, if you use two finger to press light + medium the game will alway active the medium, it is much more intuitive to do the quick dash and tasu after because your fingers are alredy placed correctly to do it fast enough or at the right pace, its almost like playing an instrument. In most fighting games there are some short cuts that make hard combos really more intuitive to pull off and Tekken is one of them, not many people know that you can buffer an input like for example if you have a move that is done with Left punch followed by forward left punch + right punch you can press left punch then hold it and do forward right punch and the move will come out. In old SF games you had this technique called negative edge wich is basically holding a button then releasing it after doing a motion input, wich made moves like spining piledriver really easy to do.
