In light of new allegations against Vince McMahon, we take a look back at Ken Shamrock’s VladTV interview, where he spoke about wrestling at WWE. When Vlad brought up the “hush money” allegations, Ken explained that with money and power comes allegations such as those against McMahon. Ken then stated that the allegations have always been present, and he added that people never believed they were untrue. From there, Vlad asked Ken about former WWE wrestler New Jack slamming McMahon for how he handled wrestlers. Ken then responded, asking how McMahon was in the wrong for wrestlers making their own choices. You can hear more above.

Shamrock now that he is older, wants to get few extra checks and get invited to some wwe big show.. and don't want to say nothing bad about mcmahons mcmahon just trying to pay as little as possible to Owen wife. Mcmahon accepted the gimmick or since they are independet so. Called contractor he says I'm not responsible..

New Jack was spot on. Vince pressured Owen to do that stunt against Owen's objections, and hired the company that rigged Owen in a defective mechanism. If that's not an element of responsibility then I don't know what is.

If you actually read interviews from the people there and involved and who set it up you would learn vince didn't have anything to do with the story being written, the rigging team setting up the cable or the execution of the stunt that night. Ultimate responsibility with him? Sure. Because he hired the people who hired the crew. But he didn't have the input on the stunt and for you to just tee off and say he does just shows how little of a clue you have about the whole ordeal.

@devilwarr1or
@devilwarr1or 7 ай бұрын
@andrewsmith3257 the clip wasn't cheap, it was the wrong clip to ever use for a stunt. There was no backup clip because the stunt called for none for the stunt to work. The clip didn't break it was triggered early by mistake. Ever wonder why noone did go to jail? Because they settled out of court for cash when they knew it would be impossible to prove culpability. Vince Russo was contacted by a rigging crew, he wrote the stunt to call for a comedic landing. Russo ASSUMED that the riggers who had done it for years could do it safely as they had performed stunts for sting. The rigger was given instructions, he followed them. He rigged the stunt for the desired effect which meant no backup. He points finger at wwe, wwe point finger back. If anyone truly was responsible it should have been the rigger, he should of told them the instructions they gave him were too dangerous and shouldn't be attempted. He didn't. He assumed he could rig the stunt and have it done safely. They did a rehearsal trial once with it before the show and it went fine. Owen's instructions were as long as you don't pull the cord early you're fine. The thought is while he was fixing his Cape to get comfortable, the Cape caught onto the cord and triggered the release. The cable didn't break, it was activated. Vince mcmahon for all his faults had absolutely nothing to do with the story written or setting up the rigging for it. He would have been busy and left everyone who were "professionals" to do their job. Is Vince ultimately responsible? Yes because it was his company that employed Russo and hired the riggers but as for the actual responsible for setting up the stunt? Even the most hardened hater of Vince couldn't agree with that.

The people criticizing Vince aren't using the same standard for any other entertainment field. How many people have died in sports? Hollywood actors? Music? To sit back and say its all one guy's fault after the fact is silly and unfair. New Jack chose to jump off high places, he chose not to learn how to properly wrestle and therefore to bring value had to have the matches he had. Some people can deal with the stress of fame/wrestling/entertainment, some can't. For every few people who died there is TONS more who were incredibly famous and came out ok: Austin, Taker, Rock, Shawn Michaels etc and came out the other side enjoying their experience

It's a legends deal ...Vince McMahon hasn't been associated with WWE in months now...he has been gone for the past year. Today He just had to resign from being one of the share holder...and leave for good. But when it pretains to WWE brands Monday Night Raw & Smackdown, NXT...he hasn't been part of it and he hasn't been around for a year...there is NEW regime that has taken over now, new faces...The new owners are TKO & Endeavor, the same home of UFC. The man who runs Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, NXT is Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They sign legends to WWE deals, basically they get paid each month like a retirement check, and get money from reselling their merchandises, and pay them for appearances, and they welcome them back to fold... it's a totally different company now. Ken Shamrock deserve it, and Hall Of Fame induction. The reason he got sign is because they are preparing to induct him. Ken Shamrock doesn't have to associate with Vince McMahon because he is not the boss anymore so he can freely talk about him.

Acting like in all his time with the company, all the shit he did was his own ideas and nobody was in his ear woth what they needed him to do. Gtfoh. Ofcourse vince has to take some responsibility. Did he intentionally kill a min? Ofcourse not. But when someone dies on their job, unless they were found to be under some kind of influence - ofcourse the company and owner has to be held responsible. That was about an ignorant quote on his part and I actually respect the guy

It's really sad that people are so dilapidated that they actually think Ken Shamrock is siding with Vince in regards to the Owen Hart situation. I mean, did anyone actually THINK first, or did they just response to stimuli? He is talking about people dying from using steroids and it was *CRYSTAL CLEAR* that was what he was referring to. Many of the wrestlers in the WWF the were known to use steroids were already using them before they even came to the WWF and they were LEGAL "at the time." Remember, Vince built his roster by scooping people from other people's federations. Everyone that was a star in the WWF in the 80s were already a star in another territory first. So, blaming him for choices that they made before they were even in his company and when they were in his company is brick stupid. Vince has more than enough he is ACTUALLY responsible for that is indefensible. You don't need to make up stuff. Vince has responsibility for the death of Owen Hart because Owen didn't want to do that stunt in the first place, he had no business up there, and there is more than enough evidence to suggest that it wasn't an "accident," but to listen to this come from New Jack of all people is rich. This guy has a lengthy criminal-record and has stabbed more than one person severely with knives, being charged multiple times to which each situation he argued that act was "part of the show." You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can blame Vince for Owen's death. You can blame Vince for the LOOONNNG list of people sexually assaulted and abused in WWE over the years by HIM and others. You can blame him for covering-up the murder situation with Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka (and the cops who took the money. You can't let _them_ off either.) However, people dying from the effects of drug abuse, sorry. That's on them. I'll just call it like it is. No one forced them to pop a pill or have someone stick a needle in there butts. This idea that we get to go through life and intentionally make poor decisions time and time and time again and each and EVERY time it is someone else's fault and not yours, and you do not have to take ANY responsibility for your actions........is satanic. *PERIOD, POINT BLANK.*

I heard Owen didn't like the idea of being on that harness. So Vince had to have known and still moved forward with it. Then the guy who rigged it was not a pro from what I heard. Vince allowed that hire. Then the material on the harness was subpar. Additionally, it is speculated Owen was saddled with that gimmick as a jab at Bret. Not sure if any of that is true, but if so, it paints a damning picture.

After watching a couple seasons of dark side of the ring, as a wrestling fan there are MANY things that make you look sideways at Vince. As for the Owen Hart death, Vince has blood on his hands. First off he went with a cheaper less experienced team for that stunt at the last moment and the shady things that happened in that court case, that rises eyebrows with him. Just because he treats guys right and makes them $ doesn't make the things he also does less f$*ked.

I don't care but i wholeheartedly disagree with him on the Owen Hart thing. He might've not been fully responsible but as the boss and CEO of the company especially when you had the man to do the stunt you better double check even triple check that its safe and good to go so he will be ok. Vince could have made better precautions for that stunt Owen did because if you know the details then you know someone failed him at keeping him safe and thats why people like Owens wife can blame him and all who overseeing him in that. I guess we shouldn't blame Vince about tye Ashley Massero incident either even after all these allegations especially the recent one of Vince McMahon and his right hand man. But i guess everyone forgot about that.

If you hire people who rig stunts for years without incident and then THEY changed the setup for the stunt without you knowing and it goes bad..... how the fuck can you say vince could have prevented it or done better? It was a PPV, vince was busy all day with everything else that needed to go on, no human being can check the work of every single person all day!!! Bobby Talbot the rigger was given instructions and thought he could do it safely, he failed. How is vince responsible for that!!

Vince is responsible because he ordered the stunt in the first place as punishment for Owen not wanting to participate in a cheating storyline on air. If Vince wasn’t petty and had never ordered the stunt the rigger would have never needed to come out in the first place. Vince and the company ultimately knew they were responsible which is why they settled

yea plus not only that vince kept pressuring owen that if he didn't come to that stadium for rehearsals he would fire him , either like do the stunt or else you won't be able to feed your family. In all honesty that was pretty fucked up and vince would have the balls to do that to owen right after bret left so in hindsight vince knew exactly what he was doing.

I'm not victim blaming and I LOVE Owen, but I have to be real. Owen was a grown man and he could have and SHOULD have said NO and walked away. What makes this even worse is that at the rehearsal just hours before the stunt, Owen saw the practice stunts fail (250lb bag of fertilizer in the clip and harness) falling into the ring, and STILL went along with it! How he got talked into this absolutely beyond me! If Vince fired him, so be it! You can ALWAYS get another job! You only get ONE life!!!
