Ken was very believeable as a pro wrestler even if you didnt know he was a UFC champ. He just had that aura about him. Being a HUGE UFC fan I remember being so excited when wwf picked him up. In my opinion he was a big part in putting the Bret Hart Steve Austin match over at Wrestlemania. I always felt he should have been the WWF champion. He had the look size charisma intensity aura character gimmick moves etc.... In this era today he would easily be the champion.

Look at all the fighters who came out of Pancrase. Ken Shamrock, Bas Rutten, Frank Shamrock, Matt Hume, Jerry Bolander, Guy Metzger, Chris Lytle just to name a few. Read the Rough and Tumble book I wrote with Erik Paulson, World shooto champion in Japan another promotion that came from pro wrestling. Tiger Mask started Shooto. MMA is an offshoot of professional wrestling.

Steroids are the best. Why does everyone lie about them? Ken isnt being honest, neither was Chael Sonnen on this podcast. People who take steroids always claim to do less than they actually take. During Kens wwe career he was on test, deca and HGH full time. No cycling he stayed on full time.
