Well, Mr. Bear you act like you know, Ken, and you don't. He was fighting before you were paying attention to fighting the only reason you know, I'm as you might have done your homework, so don't act like you know his career and that he paved away you feel like he paved the way you don't know that and you don't think that. Ken Shamrock was the sole reason why I was introduced to the concept of MMA in 2003. I used to watch WWF on free TV in New Delhi, India and we used to get re-runs of WWF sometimes 2 years later in late 90s-early 2000s. I was 13 years old in 2002 and as I was watching WWF and I saw Ken Shamrock, he didn't seem literally anything like any other pro wrestler in WWF. He had fluidity, less flashy, seemed more effective, something my teenage mind was able to figure out somehow. Almost an year goes by, I see Ken once again on one of the re-runs and the next day at school, I was talking to some of my friends and someone mentioned Pride. I contacted the telecommunications department of the government of India which controlled free TV at the time, asked them when they would air the next Pride event, and they told me it would be aired on January 01, 2004 at 4 AM. Lo and behold, they aired Pride FC: Final Conflict 2003, my first MMA event and I couldn't believe what was happening. Ken and Frank Shamrock should be celebrated so, so much more by the MMA community. True pioneers and living legends! Thanks as always for the podcast, Bear, Rampage, and Ken! ♥️🤘🙏

I grew up on the very first UFCs and have basically followed it my entire life. Reality is, Ken is literally a big part of the reason modern UFC exists. Ken Shamrock, the Gracies, Tank, Dan Severn, Don Frye, Kimo. Those men were animals and absolute savages. Then you got Frank Shamrock, Rampage, Wanderlei, GSP, Silva, and all those people who did great in weight classes. Back when Ken started... NO weight classes, almost no rules, tournament style. It was HARDCORE. There is still nothing which compares. I always wish they would do some open weightclass tournaments again, remove the time limits. Or, make it 1 25 minute round with a 5 minute overtime if no one had quit, been submitted or knocked out.

@jackiechanadventures25099 ай бұрын
paulcarey191 just because of an out of cage fight he's "not who you think he is"? Ken was out of line for going to the nasty boy's hotel room for a fight but they started it by being out of line with Ken's friend and his girlfriend. Also, yes, Ken is lucky to be alive, the guy had to recover for a year after getting hit in the back of the head with a metal telephone and being stomped on but tito also got into a street fight and got ko'ed and stomped on by Lee Murray. Ken and Tito aren't better or worse for what happened to them, considering they're fighters and had rough backgrounds I'm not surprised such things happened to them once in their lives it doesn't change my respect for either man.
