Well.. If the shoe fit. 🙄 I didn't ask to be born did you? Also who created. Man in the first place then Adam was too much of a boo boo I need somebody then God made Woman Eve, then had to get some excitement now. Let's put the the "Tree of Knowledge" that is forbidden to eat from then add the snake which is really Satan in disguise but has the seducing voice to get Eve to dive all into that tree. Then tells Adam. Now Adam knew remember that. Don't continue to condemn "Eve". That's right! So that's the story on why we suffer today because of "The Fall of Man". So, if God just left it with the animals then we wouldn't ever have these great stories to tell even within our own lives of suffering, sinning, redemption finding Christ, never leaving Christ just swayed a little and those that stayed on the narrow path and never swayed. That would be Jesus I would think. I'd like to know a human being that neveg sinned. Know any? 🤔 🧐

Great lesson and reminder about forgiveness. I grew up with Little House on the Prairie. Michael Landon really wasn't acting when he was playing a father. It's my understanding that he was just as much a father figure to the kids on the set. He wasn't acting. It was his natural state. Unfortunately, he had his transgressions like all of us. I'm pleased that Michael Landon Jr. was able to forgive his father before he passed. Thank you for the reminder about forgiveness , Michael Landon Jr. Sometimes we need it.

There's what we do and there is who we are. "Be concerned about YOUR OWN salvation - the Bible reads - occupy yourself with it with fear and trembling." This movie touches my heart personally in various ways. I watched Michael's movies religiously as a child and a young person. I would like to say that I have been with more than one dying person, to understand that they have understood that love is more than words. You can't explain to people how much you love them, you can only wait for time to reveal this truth to them! With all due respect, don't allow religion to make you think that you are better because of what you've done or haven't. Pray that you may recognize love - wherever it is - and help those who need to be helped in whatever way you may. Great achievement! A real blessing to have seen the depths of Michael 's heart! Heaven awaits!!

This is a movie based on one family member's opinion after the fact. He worked with his father for five years as a camera man, and in an interview after his father died, he said he was the best boss anyone could have. All his friends who saw Mr. Landon with his children and beard him speaks of his children, say the complete opposite of what this small sliver of a movie, based on one son's opinion. A wannabe director who apparently couldn't find anything else to write about and direct to kick off his own career!! I will always have respect for what Michael Landon accomplished in his short life, especially after his childhood. I understand well what childhood trauma can do. The crippling effect it has on the mind and heart. I'm happy his son overcame his hurt and trauma. Being a bit older when his dad left may have helped. However, his father was so young. It seems he spent his entire childhood feeling unloved, with many hurtful memories of being shamed and told hurtful things by his mother. Not just unloved, but feeling hated by your parent. How does one cope with and heal from that? He seemed to fill the tremendous void through the admiration of his fans, and women. How sad for his children. Though he did love them, he wasn't whole enough to put them first.

What I see in the movie is that Michael did put his children first. If one hasn't been in a similar situation, feelings and emotions draw you away from the main issue. As Michael said it, his problems were around money and his wife. Had his children not been first, he wouldn't have consecrated so much time and energy to be with them, laugh, share and enjoy with them. As I understand it, as they grew older, they decided - not Michael - to draw apart from him, if not only M. Jr.

Jesus is not G-d. That is idolatry. Jesus would not recognise the Roman religion built in his name. If you are inspired by jesus' words from Torah, oral and written, then that is from our Father, who he said to pray to for all life experiences, including refuah shlema (healing from heaven). Like Michael jnr depicts his Dad saying in this film, G-d is everywhere. Michael senior's Mom was cruel and his Dad absent or they were often arguing, or neighbors ostracising his family for being Jewish, looking for his satan horns!🤪 He realised that we see Hashem in a smile, in a loving act, in nature etc. We need to be like Abraham and turn from idol worshipping, be silent and listen to His still, quiet voice and accept His answers to our tears and successes. No man, including jesus can change us,only our submission to our Father creator's presence inside all of us,if only we acknowledge Him. That is how Jews have survived millenia of persecution including from the christian bigotry using the writings the Roman empire put together to salvage its control over Europe, and Middle east. As jesus is quoted saying, do not let religious people burden us with religious doctrine. He criticised dogma and controlling behavior of his reliigious leaders, not Torah observance. Paul made a different religion which is still used to judge others who do not agree or condemn them to hell.

We are are all broken in some way, but even broken crayons still colour. As we work through our lessons of life we learn from each other. Through pain we grow, we gain inner strength. Resentment, anger holds us back. Some things in life just have to be , for us to be .

It is sad that someone who was such a wholesome figure in our lives was so troubled. I guess it shows that in all of us there is the good and the bad. Often those who portray to the public a certain image or lifestyle just can’t live it themselves. I grew up watching little Joe on Bonanza and then Little House on the Prairie. I had no idea the pain that was in the background. I’m so sorry for his family. And I’m also so sorry that the world lost this great talent before what should have been his time. I know what it feels like to share someone with the world. It is very difficult. I pray that God be with his ex wives and children and grandchildren and give them peace and help them to enjoy remembering the good times.

Sadly, no counselor, pastor or wise man can tell any of us how to live our lives and we can only have a clue, living them. We can - and some should - seek not only counsel but also help, still, sometimes we have to be our best and give our best and maybe only God can understand it. The same equation does not work for everyone. 🎼🎷 Blessings.

@@tshuvafertileground "if it's God's will for either spouse to be faithful and true". 🤨🤨. God has already expressed His views about loyalty. 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. Malachi 2:16 “For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that He hateth putting away; for one covereth violence with his garment,” saith the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.” Exodus 20:14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” "God's will" does not change based on how weak one's self control and loyalty is.

I be always been a fan of Michael Landon. LHOP is my favorite show as I grew up on re runs. It's too bad that his life was dysfunctional off screen and that obviously traced back to his childhood. As someone who has been in counseling for a few years now, I ve learned a few things. Whatever dysfunction/ past pains you don't deal with will eventually manifest in your behaviors/ emotions etc. Dysfunction just repeats generation after generation until someone decides to break the cycle and deal. Michael Landon obviously had a scrappy childhood and that affected him as an adult and as a result affected his famiky. That s how the cycle goes. It s not an excuse for poor behavior, but it s important to look at the heart behind the behaviors and realize that person is probably wounded at their core and needs help.

A father that the world saw as a TV Star but he was a mortal man and a wonderful father to his children. Thank you for this inspiring autobiography. Laura Ingalls herself had a miserable childhood. Everyone thinks that she lived the life that we see on The Little House On The Prairie. Not true. Both of these stories live in a parallel universe.

If only we could see the consequences of our decisions at the time of making them, we would probably make other choices. When all is said and done, life has choices and everyone makes their own. Any day is a new day to make a different choice.

It is very much a matter of strength rather than choices. In order not to drown you must either not be there or swim good enough and be strong enough. Michael had wounds of his own and his family - with due respect - could not listen. He says it at least twice in the movie. He tried to transmit positivity through T. V. and continued to believe in good, in spite of his own struggles. How can anyone help others who depend on them to be happy, when they - those others - are hurting that someone? In my eyes, Michael had no choice but to divorce.

Children love both of their parents and separations and divorces always damage them. Why can’t parents at least wait until the children are grown? While it might still hurt, I believe that it would lessen their children’s pain. Having an affair only shows selfishness on the parent’s part. Then the desertion part comes into play. Sometimes when parents get divorced, they also divorce their children too. Now that really hurts! The real question becomes, when and if the cheating spouse decides to marry the other cheater, will they ever trust each other? It’s called the broken-trust factor!
@maricamaas23262 жыл бұрын
It also blows my mind how somehow cheaters are deceived into believing that they will be happy together; this while they had and will be causing such tremendous misery to many others. This can be explained spiritually in terms of being given over by God, to destructive thoughts and behaviour; this after not being thankful, and not glorifying, honoring and living in fear of Him, as Creator.
