Dan Thompson, a Wildlife Biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, presents a brief history and current research from the Kenai Moose Research Center. Considered a world leader in moose research, the Kenai Moose Research Center has contributed to the management of moose populations in Alaska and other states and countries for the last 55 years. This presentation highlights how the Kenai Moose Research Center biologists are integrating nutrition, physiology, and behavior to better understand how moose utilize aspects of the landscape to cope with seasonally changing energy demands for survival and reproduction.
