Ken Block's Raw Onboard Footage! - Southern Ohio Forest Rally SS13

We're back with another installment of Ken Block's Raw Onboard Footage, this time from Southern Ohio Forest Rally during SS13 - "Diagon Alley". Early in the race, Ken and co-driver Alex Gelsomino took the lead putting down the quickest time on the first stage. They continued their pace into the second stage but luck would soon run out. The boys unfortunately went wide on the exit of a turn and hit a stump, breaking the right rear suspension. The team was able to fix the car overnight and get the boys back on the road for the second day of stages, albeit with a 17-minute penalty, setting them back to 64th position. Ken and Alex used this as an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new Subaru WRX STI and test some different setups in the car - which judging by the onboard footage, paid off.

Ive been playing dr2 every night in VR lately and watching ken drIve felt slower than the game lol... but the risks are a smidge lower in VR.

@@isaiahhernandez8160 Sim? There is a lot in Dirt Rally 2 that is far from sim. For example, a good sim would be able to change the pitch of the car while it is in the air. You can try it in rfactor, gtr2, RBR, iracing... all of those old sims change the pitch when you give it throttle or brake. Try it yourself ;-) Send it over a big jump and stomp the brake as soon as the car is in the air. In DR2 nothing will happen. I have fun with DR2, it is ok as it is, but it is NOT a sim. I don't like that odd word simcade but for DR2 it just fits.

theres a part of the suspension on the car called "shock breakers" or "dampers" as they call it that absorbs the impact as they land and these are no road spec shocks either those are expensive shocks made from super strong material and adjustable damping stiffness.

1. southern Ohio forest rally which is the forth rally in the American rally association championship. Which was the third race this year for Alex and you. 2. “70 small crest long 150” then clears throat. 3. You hit 6th gear eight times throughout the run. *after you hit the stump because of your unlucky shoes you should totally give to me, you were able to race the next day because of your amazing team but with a 17 minute delay due to super rally rules starting in 64th place. I would love these shoes because I am a huge fan of you and Hoonigan. Keep up the great work my man.

Couple ideas; First idea. One vid, 3 runs. Ken goes out and runs it blind having never seen the stage. Then another with Alex after their recon. Then finally another where Ken goes solo after running it with Alex. Second idea. Alex drives, Ken co-drives!

The Drone kept pooping itself, that's why we got 90% onboard. both onboard and drone perspectives are awesome, followed by spectator POV. But sitting right in the middle of the action is nice for someone who never experienced rally first hand. My heart pounded like crazy.
