I love that Ken makes his kids earn their expensive toys, great way to teach work ethic, and Lia seems grateful for the opportunities her dad gives her while not being shy about taking full advantage of those opportunities, examples being her racecar driving and now this build. Not trying to hate because it's awesome for her and I'm sure for him as well to be able to provide that for her, but to use the term "EARN" is a bit of a stretch on a car that is easily going to be a $100,000 build. Yes he demands the grades as all parents should, especially when they are major league wealthy such as Ken is and their kids have no other stresses in life other than to produce grades. Since the 9th grade,, I had an after school job 5 days a week until I graduated and to be completely honest, it use to piss me off to see other kids who just turned 16 rocking brand new Vettes, IROCs, LX 5.0's, Monte SS's. I was grateful just to have wheels @ that point though because my old man got pinched for smuggling cocaine, sent up the river for 10 years and my whole life got ripped to pieces @ 14. You go from being a multi millionaire with a Lear Jet 35, to welfare in one day. I don't recommend the experience to any kids EVER. Had that not happened I would have been rocking a 928S, Vette or GT Mustang for sure. @ 16, I got a hand me down 8 year old 1979 4 cyl. NO POWER Mustang notchback with oem sunroof from my cousin Cheryl. Cost me like $1,200. I tried to make it cool, tint, TRX GT WHEELS. Perhaps in time the legacy will continue through his children, but in the meantime I fully respect their privacy and right to pursue whatever best brings them peace and comfort moving forward. Total Respect for teaching the kids how to work while still enjoying dad's success and resources - I think it 's a harder balance to strike than it sounds , and way more valuable than money or toys to building well-adjusted, positive adults in the long run. 💥DadModeEngaged💥 PS: The "dirty" side of KB's garage is nicer than any dealership I've ever seen. 🤣

it may become a daily driver for Lia, but i expect that some tube triangulation will make its way into the build, both to stiffen the chassis and to bring up impact safety to closer to modern or (smart) race (scca minimums) standard. i look forward to seeing the progress! cheers from BC, Canada!

Was watching this last night literally thinking what a great dad, feel so sorry for the family, nothing you can say to help, but for me I’ll miss his talent, I hope the families pain eases over time, the great healer.

Ken is such a cool dad! Lia is such a cool kid too 😎. Love this kind of family vibe! I wish my family had supported any interest I had, every thing I wanted to do never happened... My family wonders why I struggle so much and am so down all the time. Learn from Ken parents, support your kids and push them to do what they love and stand behind them!!

Proud parent time there Ken. Great to see the younger generation, especially a girl, learning valuable life skills and not being afraid to get her hands dirty working on a car. While many of her peers will be glued to Instagram and getting their nails done, Lia's learning valuable life experience and having a great time doing it. Great to see that she earned the car too, a brilliant mindset to have in modern times where the luxuries we have should be worked for.

Shaq told his kds, "We're not rich. I'm rich. Two degrees to touch the cheese." I have to admit that I would be hard pressed not to spoil my kids. But this is the right way to go about it. Watch them grow and learn.

Ken was at the top of the list as one of my favorite drivers not only because of his skills career. But because he pushed the limits to get the shot he was looking for and never lost sight of just having fun. He was in the top three of a very short list of people I would have like to have met in person. I’m glad he was able to go through the process of teaching his kid to drive as well as working on her first car. I’ve been lucky enough to work on my kids first car with them and know the pride that goes with it. I hope Leah continues to drive and build cars as I’m sure her farther wouldn’t want her to stop. I truly wish I could have met such an inspirational person as Ken was for so many.
